Newspapers continuing the doom monologues this morning... some mentioning they expect a call of no confidence in May this week! So that would be helpful wouldn’t it...

What a cluster**** this really is. :(

Read in the paper that EU is thinking of baning puting clocks forward and back, may be time to change from leaving to remain

I think we are on different time to most of them anyway:scratch::smile:
At the Weekend we will be back on Greenwich mean time, which I think is UTC, by another name.
Cant have Britain telling the rest of the world what the time is, can we.:old::biggrin:

America and Canada usually change their clocks the week before us but this year it's later.

We started changing the clocks in November a few years ago. Works well for kids trick or treating too as it is dark early enough for them to get out and be finished by 8 o'clock .

For a whole two weeks we're only 4 hours apart!

I don't see the point in changing clocks:dunno::scratch::snorky: Some of mine are at least 20 years old, I like them, and they're still working:doh::heehee:

Time changing does seem pointless now. Thankfully it no longer affects me. I go to bed when I like and get up when I like.

Silly question. When we finally leave the union. Can we go back to, feet and inches, pounds and ounces etc.

I tend to think that, if and when we are out of the EU that in actual fact we will be even more under the thumb.

Tiredness dictates when I go to sleep and my Cat decides when I get up, around 6am, by banging on my bedroom door until I do.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

As guys and gals on GC know I still talk and think in old stuff, inches, feet, pounds, ounces, fahrenheit, and wish there were still 240 pence to the pound........but it's too late to go back.:dunno::nonofinger::heehee:

                    Think positive, Mike, think positive:heehee:

God, I hope not. I don't understand them! Frightfully cockarsed way of doing things if you ask me.

I think we should go back to cubits, drams, grains, pennyweights, scruples, pecks, quarts etc. Things were so much easier in the old days. :blue thumb: :heehee:

I remember some years ago talking to a teenager who said he didn't understand old measurements and only knew metric. When I asked him how tall he was he said 5ft 8 inches :loll:
