We've moved the banana plants from the garden into the back room, other delicate plants have gone into the greenhouse.

We've started to clear a pathway for the "anti nasty neighbour" heras fencing that we're putting in place to protect the polytunnel, which should be arriving tomorrow (yes, she really is nasty, a total head case with OCD). Once done, I'll level of the garden and start on the polytunnel.

Grasses, persicarias, sanguisorbas, salvias, verbena bonariensis, thalictrums are all great perennials for height, movement and privacy Snorky:)

No gardening......too showery for that anyway but fun n games at the audi showroom. I know the games the salesman play ....they hate the haggling that I am pretty good at so I kept the guy in check. Test drove Q3, TT convertible and Q2. For my niece but the convertible was tempting (for me :rasp:)

In between brewing 40L of beer I emptied another bulk bag of chippings on the arid bed to be, dug out a red spikey bush (not sure what it was called), planted the two Nolina and potted on a yucca whipplei seedling that is racing away after taking 4 months to germinate. Hopefully more of the seeds will germinate soon.

The guys who were reducing the height of my neighbours 30' plus tall conifers in a row of around 120' in length came around to my House and reduced the height of my Cupressa Goldcrest and my Chamaecyparis Boulevard from around 15' to 8', which is now a height that I can "manage" and keep to that height. It's amazing to see a person wielding a chainsaw using belts and cables to climb trees, and he did a fantastic job. When he'd done the job the other guys brought their Wood Chipper around and parked it on my driveway and soon reduced the mountain of the cut down tree branches and foliage within minutes. They then used a leaf blower to clear the trail of cuttings etc, from the trimmed trees along the garden paths, leaving the garden tidier than it was before, and then did the same for the driveway, a good job done.:love30::thumbsup::yes::hapydancsmil::snorky:

It's been raining all day and 33f so I only planted in a Rose of sharoon that had been given me.

Took grandkids to have a junk food lunch and then to a halloween warehouse place. And after, my son gave me a tour of his kndoor growing area. His wife is thrilled with always having fresh cut flowers and I am totally impressed with his setup. I had donated a couple of HPS lights and he has put tnem to good use! Reminds me I'd better go down to my cellar and water my plants. :)

C,Lori luv. Forgive me, no offence meant but I have had a really boring day. Reading your message woke up the devil inside me.

Thak heavens someone is still using real temperatures. Now this Rose of Sharoon. Is that some new Scottish variety. Now down to your cellar. So. Do you grow a lot of musrooms?????????????????????
As I say. No offence meant. Take care and enjoy your garden. xx Mike.

@Mike Allen sometimes these tablets create their own version of what I meant to type... or it's my fault for typing with my knuckles. :)

Just finished potting up some snapdragons. Yes. Snapdragons. My son gave me a pot of them that he has nurtured for more than a year and I am taking good care of them so as not to hurt his feelings. He is so proud of his green thumb.

I've got the snapdragons, a couple of types of basil and some other plants down in the cellar. And during the commercial breaks, I shall be picking some more hot peppers in the greenhouse. The breaks are a good 6 minutes long so lots can be accomplished over tne next tnree hours of my Corrie morning.
