Been wallpapering most of the day with a little cooking and cleaning up in between, whilst Lord Awful went out to play on MY tractor .......

Managed a few hours cutting concrete after work today, got it into manageable cake slices:snorky: think I'll make them smaller then they'll be easier to get rid off.

I confess, carol did most the work (I did a bit) but we've almost levelled off the polytunnel site, dug the first trench and pruned back some shrubs, now everything stops for football!

Not much time for gardening except for a further tidy up and planting out a trio of sysrinchium Macounii Album. A warm feeling day albeit breezy and the rain held off until mid afternoon. A good day for a run out to the beach with the dog. :)

After totally wasting yesterday nursing a mild hangover, finally got the last tulips in today. If it sounds like I have a whatsyoucallit... "life" to have a Saturday hangover, that's a sad misconception. It was just a gaming night with the Teenager and too much nice wine by the kitchen table. On a positive note, I won Monopoly, only lost 5 rounds of Ginrummy and the Teenager finally managed to win Lier's Shittypants. I'm so proud of her. :snorky:

Anyways, the front tulips are in, misplaced Gladioli out, Dahlia tubers packed in boxes and amazingly, labelled by colour. It has only taken a few decades to learn that labelling is a good idea. :noidea:

Now that there are bare patches I think I might need some solar lights to bring some atmosphere to the dark evenings.

The maple across the road has stunning colour in this afternoon sunshine. Welcome November :)

A burn up today - one of my favourite things to do in the garden. The fire box is worth it's weight in gold.
Still tulips bulbs to go in the ground but after showering away the woodsmoke smell I've decided enough is enough today so I'll just watch the sun go down with a glass or three.:)

A warm and dry day up until now......it seems most everyone had the same idea to walk on the beach with their dogs. Better even than in the garden :snorky:

Despite being hampered by 8 marauding dogs who think the bottom of the garden is a play area (usually fenced off), I managed to get the foundation poles in for the polytunnel (all nice and square) and the hoops fitted a treat!:)

Evening all, tidied the rest of the dahlia tubers today and turned them upside down in the GH, dug up the salvia's and potted them up for winter storage same with some fuchsia. Took some more pelargonium cutting and potted up the mother plants. All the pots are ready now for planting up with bulbs etc :)

Dispatched some more spent annuals to the compost bin, been researching how to overwinter dahlias and begonias ^ thanks perki :snorky:
You've got me wondering about my salvia now:scratch: is carradonna hardy?
I also downsized my 2 year old habanero :) He's got a lovely new pot, a sprinkling of fresh compost and a new home indoors. If he lives :dbgrtmb: if he doesn't, I've tried:heehee:
