I once backed into a 3 ft fence. It was marking the footpath to an amusement park. The small fence was an exact match to the 8 ft fence behind it. I couldn't see the wood for the trees, so to speak. I wasn't happy. I had to spend the rest of my holiday with the boot lid tied to the towing bracket.

Taught myself to play this on my leccy piano. it was a hit for The Four Freshmen, back in the day.

I've always admired their harmonies. So did Brian Wilson, he taught the Beach Boys to sing the same way.

Started cleaning the conservatory, cleaned the glass with washing up liquid and cleaned the floor. Got a lot of smudges on the glass so tomorrow clean them with windowlene.
Also washed the nets for the kitchen window, ironed them and put them up.

Gave the glass surround of the front door a good clean, so that the plastic
suction cups that support the Christmas lights will get a good grip. There's always a bit of a "discussion" with my wife as to when these should go up. She doesn't like them to go up before the beginning of December.
But I'll probably put them up at the week-end.
I find they make the house cheerful. Christmas is soon here and gone and then we're into drab January. We don't bother with decorations, just string up the cards we receive.
As all the houses in our road have the same front door arch as we, many neighbours do the same with lights. It brightens up the street.

These were they, last year. We also have a string going up the staircase.

Many years ago, one of the stores I managed, like most, had a 200 plus vehicle carpark.
I rarely stayed late, it was usually the food manager's job or his deputy to supervise the late night shelf fillers, a mixture of students and adult female part-timers. Their shift ended two hours after the store closed.
But on this occasion unforeen circumtances meant it was down to me that night.
When the shift finished, as we were leaving, there were just two vehicles in the car park. a part timer's Mini and my Alfa Romeo. She managed to back into it!

Similar sort of thing. My friend is always getting new cars, he is very picky about his cars, any hint of a squeak and he has it in the garage.

He always parks his car at the furthest and most isolated part of the car park, and he always returns to find a rusty heap parked right next to it :snorky:.

Our youngest son's partner, she says that when the go into a store carpark he has to find a kerb he can put two wheels up on, so that no one can park too near to him.
