It's very windy this afternoon, there's a path at the back of our house with trees and bushes. I just came out of the house with berry and i intended to go round at the back, when i heard a crash it was a small tree fell down across the path where i was going to go, if i was a bit earlier i could have been there.

Picked up a new(ish) Golf 1.5 SE Nav today, 8 months old and traded in my 2 year old Toyota Yaris which I wasn't keen on.

Neil Sedaka, recorded "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" as an up-tempo pop song in 1962.
in 1975 he re-recorded it as a more sophisticated slow romantic ballad.

I taught myself to play this version this morning. The first bit will remind you of the original recording.

It was too wet for any serious gardening.

Made a lot of breadcrumbs to go with the cooked onions, put in freezer for the sage and onion stuffing for the turkey.

Had to keep coming indoors to warm up & have hot drinks though as I was getting quiet cold out there:biggrin:

Meanwhile Mr Kandy was cutting the tiles and lining them up ready to be stuck down at some point and then all that needs doing is the drain cover, skirting boards and painting the walls now the plaster has dried:snorky:

Oh and I weighed myself this morning and by some miracle I have lost another 1lb in weight so am now down in the next bracket:yes: At least after the last holiday I had neither lost or gained so was pleased with that:biggrin:

Can’t do a lot at the moment as rain has stopped play so I am in the process of getting the meat and veggies(Carrots,Parsnips,Onion and spuds all home grown)prepared in my slow cooker ready for switch on tomorrow:biggrin:

I usually procrastinate in the build up to Christmas and avoid purchasing gifts, much to my wife's annoyance! This year I had been threatened with the task of cooking the lunch for my children and grandchildren, if I informed my wife that I hadn't purchased presents by the middle of December.

However, thanks to the wonders of online shopping, I have purchased an assortment of Christmas chocolate gifts for my grandchildren from here Luxury Christmas Chocolate Gifts Online and a weekend at a delightful looking spa for my wife and myself before new year's eve, here Front Page - Park House Hotel & Spa I just need to break the news to my sons that they will need to take care of our eccentric and lively cockapoo.

Oh, and to make my sons' Christmas all the better, after years of being gifted endless pairs of socks by them, I have decided to return the favour and buy them both a selection of socks from Amazon :dbgrtmb: I will probably let them sulk for a few hours before telling them I have managed to get tickets for the 3 of us to see Brighton play Arsenal on Boxing Day.

Got a lot more ornaments this year because the tree is taller.

This garland was free with the tree, i had a lot of decorations in a box that hadn't been used, didn't want to throw them away so i kept them, glad that i did.

Our small town has spent a lot of money on the Christmas Street lighting decorations and actually doubled the amount of lighting...........so we've got two bulbs now instead of the one of last year:love30::thumbsup::snorky:
