Hi whats this please i moved some soil from the back garden to the front garden in January last year this appeared about June/July and its never stopped flowering,

This is it tonight sat out in the cold on my north facing front garden.

 

Many thanks i cant believe how long its stayed in flower i will have a google and get some more for next year it appears happy in this location.

Thanks Zigs i will have a look see what i can get from it, i will be doing some work on the front garden next year and could do with more of the same species that's what i will be googling.

 

Thank you FC ive just had a quick google myself a few different types that should be ideal to brighten my front garden up for next year,

Its only a small garden mainly a drive but it will be nice to create a few areas for flowers.

Cheap as chips easy to grow and flower for a good while that's fine for me, i will be intruding more pots on the decking area next year i will get a few extra packets for them.

 

Ive just ordered 5 packets before i forget.

 

The Marigold family are very easy to grow from seed. And ,as you have found, there is a huge variety of colours and shape. Not grown them for a few years may try this next season , I was looking for a few ideas.

Calendula Seeds - Snow Princess

 

Calendulas sometimes have flowers through the winter.

 

Minus for calendulas in my garden - they catch powdery mildew along with aquillegias.
