I am just wondering where Woo is.
What with all this activity of drones at Gatwick.............

 

Hi,

Just cannot believe in these techno days how such a drone can close an airport.

As mentioned on the news , other continental airports and even some prisons use modern blocking devices as a barrier, seems only 2 or 3 laptop size devices needed to protect an airport as large as Heathrow; seemingly UK red tape is stopping their use. Unbelievable !

If it was me I'd just set off a few SAMs

 

It's Gatwick, not Heathrow.

 

Surely thats less than peanuts compared to what its cost Gatwick, the Airlines and passengers.

It just beggars belief that something so obvious has not been introduced.

Wonder who is the actual person is thats stopped them being used, always get fed up when they hide behind a board or whatever; if I made a mistake I'd be fired or have to correct/pay for things, but never seems to apply these faceless types...

 

They have bird scarers but nothing to disable drones. How stupid to allow them to be sold to anyone.

 

Who is doing this ,do we know yet?

Probably, but better be careful or they will be Trolling the forum saying we are cruel to plants and using too much electricity...

Would something along the lines of a t-shirt cannon that fires a net be feasible? Obviously they can't use bullets for fear for where the stray ones will end up.

I think some one is drone racing, but is in the wrong place, so he/her thought they would race a bigger drone
