@strongylodon that tennis encyclopaedia sounds interesting :)
I can't wait for the tennis season starting :hapfeet:
I've been making do with replays
It sounds as though most of us have been very lucky, be it gifts or love and companionship :wub2:
My best gift was having my eldest back home, his lost job in Keswick is my gain :blue thumb: That and all 5 of my children, 2 grandchildren, my parents and hubbys parents all together at the same time :hapydancsmil: Blimey it was busy, but I loved it :snorky:

I got some stuff from 'er indoors.

I also got stuff from family.

I got some nice stuff from a grateful customer (as it was the season of goodwill I gave him his invoice early :heehee:).

Which was all a bit of a coincedence really as I went shopping and bought stuff which I gave to them. So it all worked out quite nicely really!

As its just the two of us, but we had some contributions from friends. We some how acquired 6 bottles of wine for the rack, between friends and family, and me to husband. Husband gave me some tubes of good smelling body lotion, and good smelling bath and shower foaming stuff. we just don't need anything. Gave him a nice trip with me to San Juan Island in November. And he will give me a trip to Bahamas end of January. We just don't need "things" . Pretty much buy what we want during the year.

Nothing for us. We don't really do presents. Children in family get money to spend on what they would prefer, adults get good wishes. We always tell people not to get us presents as there's nothing we really want. Friendship is the main thing with visits backwards and forwards and phone calls with those that we can't visit.

Family and friends are what it's all about. Like @Loki , having some of our sons home and hearing from the one that didn't make it was our star gift, we only normally see them a couple of times a year.
And not forgetting my dear Dad!!, every year as I pack away his Christmas decorations ,most of which are very old but hold treasured memories of Christmas Past....with Mum and my siblings.... I wonder if they will get hung up again.

Sitting at his house with the family around on Christmas day, I reflected on how lucky we were, 4 of us have had cancer at some time, one nearly died last year from another illness ,Dad ,at 93 was still with us and we had the next generation with us.......causing hilarious havoc!!! Happy times that can't be matched with anything else.
Presents are but a token, we only buy for Dad, our boys and the new additions in the extended family.
