Hospital charges

    Back to hospitals now..... I remember when my poor dad had a hospital appointment and none of the parking machines where working, so he went to reception and they gave him some type of note to put in his window, when he got back to his car later on he had a ticket from the warden slapped on his window cheek!, luckily he fort it and got the charge dropped thank god.

    I think they should provide transport for people who live miles away from hospitals, especially the elderly.

      They do that here @Flumpy and parking is free at hospitals. :cool:

        I seem to think there are volunteer drivers who pick people up if they cant afford, or are not able to get to the hospital.
        Some charities do it as well I believe
        But I dont think hospitals run a service, unless of course you need an ambulance.:biggrin:

          In our village they have a volunteer group who not only run people to hospital but take them shopping etc. and sometimes do their shopping for them.

            3 - 4 hrs £4.00
            4 - 5 hrs £5.00
            5 - 24 hrs £8.00

            Parking fines
            Please be advised that a Penalty Charge Notice scheme is operated on the Medway site. Ticket charge is £60, reducing to £30 if paid within 14 days.

            Please be aware that blue badge holders are charged standard parking fees. This is to create fairness around concessions.
