Small world. I know Alex through a workmate, they both used to play in a band, ‘Journey Up The Wood’. A reference to Kingswood (Bristol). Saw them quite item a few times. I bumped into his wife (I forget her name) at the Bath Christmas Market, where they had a stall. Got some Chipotle sauce, which is nice :)

I never saw them play but knew about the band but I know Jo and Brian went loads of times.. When I first knew them they didn’t have any big major contracts but now he has it has allowed him to grow the way he has.. He did the Bristol market too as well as another but I cannot think where it was now.. Yes they make their own oils and sauces there and they certainly know a good sauce.. :yikes:

I missed that bit. Yes, localish, I live in Kingswood. I’d guess that Upton Cheyney is around 5 miles or so from me. There’s a nice ‘local’ there too.

:spinning:Oh crikey this world gets smaller sometimes I think. Yes SG have a large new office in Yate. I think they are spread about in a few buildings now.

Yes know the name Bristol tool and gauge but never been there.

I've been to Benington Lordship Chlli Festival for the last couple of years, it was really really good in 2017, but unfortunately last year, they had really dire weather and most of the traders were moaning, the catering area, hardly any of the caterers were cooking at 1pm on a Saturday when I was there.

All in all though, I personally preferred it last year, as the rain doesn't bother me, and rather than having to push through crowds, you'd walk up to a stall and could see and try everything a lot easier ........ It did also mean I bought a lot more last year as well though
