    A quick question .......

If the Europeans decide they longer want to trade with us( or hinder our trading if we leave without a deal ) will they still expect us to spend billions of pounds a year protecting them from Russia.?

Nato was set up to protect Europe from Russia. We have spent tens of billions defending them since the end of ww2.

Are we really going to keep spending billions protecting them in the future.? Will we really send our troops to fight and die in their hundreds of thousands for a third time to protect Europeans who may not even be willing to trade with us in 3 months time?

I take it then that you don’t think Europe is worth defending?

Do you think there are those that want a hard Begzit, by those do you mean, those that want no deal?
Personally I dont think anyone wants a no deal as such, just that some think a deal is more important than others.
The hard liners would still prefer a deal, but they know they are unlikely to get one that they would like from the EU, maybe they are the realists afterall.

As there are loads out there who are looking for a softer Bregzit, but still wont get what they want from the EU.

The trouble a lot of the time is the idiots over here keep squabbling, but seem to disregard the fact that whatever they say the EU are, at this stage, unlikely to agree with it.

We have shown our hand, so the days of negotiation are over, if they ever really started, that is thanks to our parliament, who wanted THEIR say.

Well apart from France I dont think many of them even defend themselves, and up until recently most of Europe relied heavily on the USA.

And yet, so much criticism of a European Army? Damned if they do, damned if they don’t...

But why a European army, why not each country with its own army as in NATO.?

          I'll tell you why,
Half of em dont want to pay money in, they just want the benefits of a European army protecting them from Russia.
It would be run on the same principles as the EU, some put in all the money, while others are just on the take.

              No.

We pay 2% of our gdp into nato, most euro countries dont.

If someone doesnt want to trade with you and actively tries to damage your trade are you still willing to send YOUR child to go and fight and die for them and to pay for the privilege?

No point moaning about cut backs and knackered roads, nhs, schools etc if your happy to spend tens of billions a year defending other peoples whilst your fellow countrymen need the money spending on them.
