I'm spotty about my attendance here. And with some very good excuses...

We are at -21c or to those who speak my language -2f or so and what is in our news? A landscaper who killed 8 men and deposited their body parts in lovely big pots at his clients.. of course it is monstrous about the murders going back for years, but I find that no one has reported how well or badly the plants did...

The fellow did admit to his grisly murders so will be going where there shall be no gardening for the rest of his life. And rightly so.

On a more positive note, my brussels sprouts seedlings are strong enough to lean to the sun :)

Keep warm. Stay dry. Play safe please

Good morning all, by golly it is cold don't think there'll be any gardening done today and Amber will be lucky just to have a short walk as far as is necessary, not too much sniffing, I hope!
Have a good day , wrap up warm and dry and above all stay safe and well, God bless.:wub2:

                Howdy folks :)
No snow or ice down here and none to come. A different story "up country" I think! Not too cold and dry right now. :)
However, I am braced for getting wet this morning....heavy rain for a while heading this way and Nico needs a walk to the beach:)

                  Morning everyone!

How grisly it that @CanadianLori , bet the plants did well though!
I just cannot imagine how you survive in those temps.:yikes:
I know I love the snow but I really do feel the cold and hate how my joints respond to it. When I was a very young child I would play in the snow with my sisters and brother but my Mum always told me that I would soon come running back in crying that my hands hurt because they had ' gone rusty ' :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

@Flumpy 'they ' say we are in for a bit of snow tonight and so far we aren't in for any tomorrow... ever hopeful things might change :blue thumb:
You've reminded me ,we actually have 3 sledges and some great little slopes opposite our house.....hmmmmm that will be fun!!;)

                  Keep warm and safe everyone:)

                      Aloha everyone,

A light dusting of snow and a fairly stiff wind may make it feel cold out there. I may just get a little more work done on the lawn edges. Our new gardener was supposed to be here this morning, for his third visit, but I'm not sure he'll turn up. There's plenty of work for him to do if he does turn up.

I've just turned our heating up a little more although we keep the place fairly warm as I'm feeling a little chilly at the moment.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

Good morning everyone. It is so cold in this flat it is terrible to keep it warm. I hope everyone else is managing to keep warm. Take care and if you have to go out then wrap up warm and above all stay safe.

                                Good day everyone
It is now up to -3F and the day has just begun. I've got a busy one in front of me. Work to get done, lots of emailing to catch up on before I go to pick up two granddaughters at their home which is 50 miles from here, drop off the little one at my son's house up on Hamilton mountain, then pick up their cousin on the way back down home. These two 11 year olds are only 2 weeks apart in age so they get along really well. They are visiting for the weekend and I have lots of activities to prepare. We'll be baking and shopping for fabrics, then sewing and cooking our way through Saturday and Sunday.

Haven't figured out what we shall sew. I do have a pattern for a hooded cape that they might like to try making..

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a super weekend :)
