Brexit -am I stupid or what

    I assume we will be paying it in much the same way that we will be paying it if we were to remain, I was under the impression ikt was what they decided we owed them, and would be paying them if we continued to remain.

    Which is probably why no provision has been made in budgets, its dead money if we remain and dead money if we make a deal.:scratch:

    Future trade deals with the EU might well be off the table if we leave with no deal, but I bet they will still want to sell us stuff.

    As for credit ratings, cant say I know much about them, but I think we were down graded a few years ago, cant say as I personally noticed much difference.
    I still went to work, and got crap money like I have for the last 49 years.
    So nothing new there.:biggrin:

      All sorts of crops are under threat from various pests and diseases. Dates could go the same way if no control is developed for Palm moth. It's hard to imagine a life without bananas, though, isn't it? Especially if the UK is going to be relying on 'world' foods rather than brie or bratwurst :heehee:

                But they do, most people I know, us that dont know better:biggrin: virtually never buy French wine, mostly Aussie, N Zealand or California.
                They tend to suit the taste of the uninitiated better.:smile:

                As for Brie. why do they call that cheese, its slimey :biggrin:
                Cant beat a bit of cheddar, proper cheese.:smile:

                    That's 'cos the French have got more sense than to send it where it's not appreciated! I'm talking good, local wine here, BTW, not the overpriced muck that they flog to the Chinese:heehee: France has more than 365 cheeses. I'd like to see you do a blind tasting with Cantal jeune and plastic Cheddar :yes::loll:

                        I think that is whats is known as shooting yourself in the foot regarding exports, just sell the vinegar to the Brits, and hope they dont know any better, it did actually work for a number of years, until the rest of the world joined in.;):biggrin:

                          I dont think the French can lay claim to the Potato, more like S. America likewise tomato, aubergine, why anyone wants one of those is beyond me, and chillies.
                          No, none of it French I'm afraid.

                            I come across an article a while back that Britain has the most cheese varieties in the World, found it again on google with over 700 varieties. take that France :catapult:
