If layers of material are placed one top of each other, say 10 pieces, the bottom one will be a different size to the top one when cut, albeit purportedly the same size. The machine will do the seams identically consequently making the garments of varying sizes. I worked for a company who made all of British Airlines leather seats and because of this each one had to be done individually. If I remember correctly, Britannia's were material and several could be done at the same time. The leather was not as forgiving.

No, well not in this country but most of our clothing is made abroad.

 

There was always a rag trade in the Manchester area. When I was still involved in some retail buying in the late seventies and early eighties, there were a lot of small factories in the centre of the city, producing women's fashions.

It's a good job i didn't mind because my kids ( teenage) felt it was a totally inappropriate thing to say. It made them feel that unwelcome they wanted to leave immediately.
Me and hubby have been together for 24 years. It's not as though we have just met, and I get on with my in laws. ( sadly they where under the weather and unable to come )

I think she's clueless. And the other woman must have been a bit annoyed that after 24 years she is still referred to by her relationship with your husband. I'm guessing she's not spent the whole 24 years doing nothing at all!

This lovely weather has meant the last of my daffs were cut today and there's nothing left for Mothers Day

 

Souunds like you're not varying what varieties you grow.
We have Daffs/Narcissi from February all the way through to June. All grown naturallly outdoors with no forcing or being held back.

 

I've made 4 or more plantings over the years, all different varieties, but their flowing period has forever been reducing, this year's being the shortest ever, just one week. But my choice of varities is restricted to what I can get for free or massively reduced.

I got a load of free daffs late last year in containers in a polytunnel so they might bloom in time. All my pots of Tete a Tete from previous years are in full bloom, but a few hundred bulbs I got for free late last year, again in pots in a polytunnel might flower at the right time.
