Might be true what some people said about most of those who voted to leave would be dead before the UK leaves the EU

Brexit could be delayed until 2021, EU sources reveal

But would it get a majority vote in Parliament?

Their next leader will be John Mcdonnell, and Diane Abbott wll be promoted to (shadow) Chancellor.

This is so painful to be living through! If it does get extended to 2021 (would they, could they...) then a whole new group would have to start from scratch. I think it's pretty obvious the current arrangement is somewhat unsatisfactory!

I'm all for another ref. if we dont like the outcome we can always have another one.;)

As for giving Parliament the last say, well that has really worked well, they dont know their ar*se from their elbow.

              Thankyou Gina Miller.

I’ve not posted on this thread until now. I’m seriously worried now. Everything could come crashing down. I’m a remainer and seriously hope sense will prevail. I’ve written to my MP twice. She’s a Brexiter and a Mayite (is ther such a word?) so no hope there. We’ve so much to loose and the timeline is fine. I really really hope they do everything possible to avoid a no deal Brexit. I really hope there is another people’s vote. Corbyn isn’t much better. The biggest issue and possible disaster to face this country in 70 years and he’s still sitting on the fence.

I agree with you. She saved us from terrible prospect of the lying barstewards of the Leave campaign riding roughshod over the best interests of the nation in pursuit of their own personal gratification. So you have Rees-Moggs' investment company setting up portfolios in Ireland for their wealthy clients (and warning of the potential risks of Brexit in their sales literature) whilst he is perfectly happy to condemn the ordinary pleb on the street to the (almost certain) financial hardship of a no deal Brexit. We have a lot to thank Gina Miller for - her actions were a definate kick in the goolies for the ERG :thankyou:

I don't think that anyone predicted the shear weight of the division that existed in the commons over this. The Irish border issue has been there all along (it was never a great secret although you did have to look very hard for any mention of it pre referendum) and is simply being used as an excuse by the hardliners. They know every bit as well as we all do that the EU just want this all over and done with. The UK has finally taught the EU of that well known phrase - well shot of bad rubbish!

Amazing how one person can put a spanner in the works.
                    I'm sure she plays chess.

As to stopping the lying of the leave campaign, lying has gone on from both sides it just depends on who's lies you believe, I dont believe any of them.

I just want out, but it aint going to happen because those that know better, the likes of Gina Miller, and a lot more wont let that happen.

They have their own reasons for staying in, and I dont for one minute think it has anything to do with her worrying about us plebs suffering a no deal.

I bet if you muck rake her you could find the real reason she is a remainer.

If you think any of them, leave or remain, are on the side of the pleb then you are living in cloud cuckoo land, they are all in it for no 1.

Cant remember the remain campaign even mentioning the Irish border.
I'm sure if they had I'd have had to voted remain.:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Out of chaos there is opportunity... shame it's all the MP's 'representing the best interests of the populace' that see that opportunity to better their positions and financial situation :(

If only they had a frickin plan before the vote so people knew the situation they were getting into.

But isn't there a problem with that - hasn't the Gina Miller case established that Parliament must have the final say? So whatever the result, it will have to go back to them yet again.

They did, but all different ones.

How many will JC want before he gets the answer he wants. The majority voted out, so lets do it for Gods sake. Labour would be stronger without JC IMO.

I dont think it was possible to actually have a specific plan at that stage, as it mostly hinged on negotiations with the EU.
Any chance of getting proper negotiations with the EU were pretty much scuppered by the remainers not accepting the outcome of the ref. which obviously the EU jumped on, sat back and watched the infighting for the last 2 and a half years.

Why should the EU negotiate when they know that there are still lots of people, in high places, just out to overturn the result.

It was a farce from day one.

JC is a definite maybe, dont think he ever made a decision in his life before.
He's very good a criticising though.

If it wasn't so dangerous I would be good to let him have a go, at running the country.

Just for a laugh you understand, as pretty much, no one seems to be able to do it at the moment.
