I have H.P.Limelight it a nice plant but its still on the small size saved it from the sick bay, I fancy another Sanguisorba as well Stand up Comedian do you grow this variety @Verdun ? When did your A.Stainless steel flower verdun ? I am having another thought of planting it with a Ligularia they might be fighting for the lime light though

Had a disaster - yesterday I forgot to check the greenhouse and today I went in and it was so hot and loads of my plants had died. two pots of tomato seedlings are dead - luckily the ones I've pricked out are ok.

wanted to do some work on getting the lawn back up to scratch today but was consumed by other rubbish going on.

No that one Perki....Pink Elephant is excellent, Lilac Squirrel is delightful, Pink Tanna, Tanna, Cangshan Cranberry, Blackthorn, Red Thunder, Menzeisii, Alba and a little variety....Little Angel if memory serves me right all grow here. :) They are all good.
Stainless Steel was later in flowering.....usually flowered when regular variety was over, around late August/September. I didn’t think it quite as floriferous as other aconitums though I loved the colour :)

Sorry to hear about your plants. Are you able to install an automatic opener?

Hi @Perki , why don't you split and pot up your Monarda and take it to a local charity shop. It helps the shop and gives someone the chance to buy a plant that perhaps they can't otherwise.

            Shame Snorky:)
I once had tomato plants growing in gh and I had mulched them with dried manure. A very hot day ensued and the fumes from the manure killed my plants.
I was naive, young, stupid and thoughtless but I learned a lesson:)

I never noticed any charity's round here sell plants, there isn't any local plants fairs around either shame really. I normally pot up unwanted plants and give them away except for a clump of orange crocosmia I whizzed in the bin today spreads like wildfire .

The only reason a charity shop won't sell anything is that people don't donate it.

PS..... The year before last I must gave sold about 40 pots of Crocosmia at £1 each ☺.

Today was just the usual weeding and digging. Half filled a wheelie bin with weeds, grass and moss.

Ah It has already got two automatic window openers and they were open fully. Cant believe how hot it got today. Went back in tonight to shut it up and some plants had perked up. Luckily the tomato seedlings were all excess to requirements really-but would have been nice to give them away.

I love the little box hedging @kriss :)

Glorious day outside here. Lots of seedlings potted on, pulled the dahlia and begonia tubers out of winter storage (no losses this year, hurrah!), gave the lawn it's first trim and treatment, had a general prune and tidy up, a very relaxing and productive day.

Only downside was when I tried to sweep and tidy the patio too but the scaffolding for the upstairs flat is still up and very much in the way  According to the builder there's now a 2-4 week delay while they wait for the new windows to arrive so I can't see it going this side of Easter :wallbanging:

I have louvres but id forgotten to open them. I’ll be opening them each day-unfortunately they’re not automatic like the roof windows.
