Yep, lies, lies and more lies by the Brexiteers during the referendum campaign.[/QUOTE]

Countered by lies, corruption and deceit by politicians (be they Brexiteer or Remainer) - after all, Theresa May (a Remainer) is on record as stating that the UK would leave the EU on the 29th March over 100 times - - - and yet, here we are, not leaving......... she lied. It is what politicians do.

There has been lies on both sides, but it's up to us to see through the lies and vote how we see things.
That said, getting back to the fact that it was stated that Heseltine is saying older voters have betrayed the young?
Do you really think the young have been around enough or seen enough to see through the lies on both sides?

We vote for things as we see fit, and a red bus with money on it going to the NHS was just not something I ever believed, if you did, you really should not be allowed out on your own.
It was just a way of illustrating how much we pay the EU.

It's not that Theresa May lied about leaving it was the MP's that stopped us leaving.

Well you have a point I must admit.

But I'm still blaming that woman who spent months dragging it through the courts that said Parliament must have the final say.
Well done missus, I forget your name, who ever you WAS.

Too true pete, before all this she was a normal ( ? ) businesswoman now she gets paid thousands for personal appearance, TV/ Radio appearances etc.

Talk about MP"s making a name for themselves and looking after no 1. She's really reinvented herself, at least they only get their normal wage for it she could probably afford to never work agsin.

Just to be clear, I'm still UK based. It is my better half who is now in Frankfurt. We will take it in turns to travel at weekends and this weekend it is my turn to go to her.

The best ones have taken over my parents garden/greenhouse except for my Vestia foetida which has moved 100 miles north to my brother in Nottingham (if it survives being dug up!).

Some would, some wouldn't but in reality I'll still be here being a pain in the butt!

                    Thanks!

But it is a pittance! In 2015 (the most up to date figures that are freely available) UK businesses exported £7.6 billion to The Czech republic alone, not a huge market but a growing one. For the same period total UK exports to all EU countries totalled £134 billion! Clearly not all this trade will disappear, not even a large percentage but it is reasonable to forcast that the value of lost trade will total the £9 billion we give the EU. Now bear in mind that the financial services sector paid £75 billion tax in the same period and consider the implications on this tax take if we leave with no deal and thus lose the Financial services passport (and the loss of tax revenue that is already happening as a result of offices being being opened up in Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan and Dublin).

On a different note the promised 40 trade deals haven't exactly worked out either...................
                    Brexit trade deals 'are incomplete'

I think also the fact that things will be ok on day one of leaving is not something anyone really believed, it will take time, but I think ultimately we will be better off out than in.
That is providing we get out without any silly not quite out and not quite in deals that seem to be where we might beheading.

I think that is where the no deal people are coming from.

To be only half left and still attached, and binded by the EU,would not be a satisfactory outcome.

That situation would, I agree, be worse than still being a member.

Some very interesting comments by other MEP's on You Tube.
Barnier's prime objective is to "punish" the UK - Hans-Olaf Henkel German MEP

I wouldn't trust any MEP as they're the first in the Job Center queue when we leave. It's obvious they'll do anything they can to remain.

That may be true about a lot of them but I don't think Nigel Farage has been fighting to remain. :). I'm not backing him :rolleyespink: - just commenting on the statement!!!
