At this point, all I have to say about Brexit is "wibble"

She knew she was going to lose and went ahead anyway. Waste of time.

Soooo, any ideas?! EU is open to a 12 month extension, and indicative voting gave nil points. EU have also said they're open to a perm customs union which is a bit frickin late in the day to announce!!

        How permanent?

In perpetuity with no get out clause and locked into it forever? If so, sounds like another name for The Backstop.

And wasn't joining a Customs Union rejected in the indicative voting process?

I've been delaying buying sugar for this year's winemaking, hoping prices would fall without EU duties on imported cane sugar, might have to get some to produce more alcohol and make this whole fiasco more bearable.

Everything was rejected in the voting process! But I think the customs union was the closest run of the votes

Have just read that TM will continue to pursue support for her deal in the commons. She’s just a deluded shell of a useless basket case.
If in her shoes I’d take myself off to Chequers for the weekend, have a massive blowout and turn up on Monday to resign in disgraceful style. Over to you chaps, see ya!

I have the greatest respect for Mrs May but agree with you @Loofah .The Lady is on a hiding to nothing..I have yet to grasp that it isn't all down to TM as without back up you don't stand a cat in hells chance.I don't actually agree with her 'deal' as to me as a layman/layperson . Brexit doesn't actually mean Brexit.Out means out from where I'm sat.

But that's it isn't it - she doesn't stand a cat in hell's chance so completely believable that this all on her shoulders.

Labour simply want a general election and that’s why they voted down May’s deal.

Weak, hypocritical, self interested folk in parliament have simply defied the referendum.

My sense is that conservatives would win an election, albeit without a majority, and we will be back to where we are now. Another referendum too but still with a majority to leave. Still with MP’s refusing to allow it.

Meanwhile our huge payments to the EU bureaucracy will continue....and increase:noidea:

                        It's tough at the top!

I'd think a long extension of 12 months, swap the leadership and no general election will get the ball rolling again. If the eu are hinting at a customs union then it's quite a good indicator of where to head. That said, parliament haven't been able to find their backside with both hands and a map so far so who knows?!
