More meandering. We had a phrase in the mob - get your moo poo in one sock. I'm sure the system will auto correct that but it means getting your act together PDQ. The MPs are precisely nowhere at this point, completely floundering. Complete panic mode with their heads up their arse. There remains a total absence of leadership

They wont back her deal, but mostly for the wrong reasons.
Maybe the deal is not what we wanted, but is is a deal with further negotiations to come.

MPs are a disgrace, and in the old days I'm sure a few of them would be facing treason charges for getting us this close to a no deal situation, due to them having their own silly political games, rather than putting the country first.

I've never been so angry with the government. The utter lack of ability, accountability and leadership is astonishing. The PM is just flogging this damned deal again and again and the Queen must be weeping at her appointment. Government should be dragged out and thrashed!

@Loofah that is interesting. I haven't read anything about Her Majesty's position on this issue. Our news people don't give a huge amount of ink to the deal .. or no deal.

We have one party here who disagrre with the opposition just to be disagreeable. They are somewhat like your labour party.

Well, the way I see it is this, May has struck a deal with the EU, ok not great, but as far as I can see it is the one the EU are sticking to.
Negotiations on this bit are over.
So it's kind of take it or leave it, unless the MPs, not the government, can come up with a better plan, and the idiots cant, and if they did the EU would have to go along with it.

You can lead a horse to water...............comes to mind.

They won’t, they’ll keep us if possible as long as they manage to get the toe in as well. I very much doubt they want us in eu elections but this is politics under a microscope so they want to be seen as accommodating even if they’re not being so.
I just don’t see a new pathway or chapter in this sorry affair until TM is shifted, the situation is too poisonous.

They are still trying to keep us in, in the hope that we will be sufficiently ground down/fed up and that another referendum is called (be that under another PM or government) and that we will see the error of our ways and change our mind and decide to stay in the EU.

They simply cannot see that what they are in fact achieving is simply to push us further away and piss us off even more, and having seen news/videos from other parts of the EU, it seems utterly clear that they are pushing their luck with their dictatorship; the reaction to the mandatory speed limiting of cars for example shows to me just how pissed off the electorates are with them.

@Loofah is spot on - there is no pathway until TM goes, but I would go one further and say that the poison will continue unless politicians stop their current path where freedom of speech has nigh on disappeared, and people's lives are being further and further controlled whilst so called austerity is only an excuse for the rich to get richer.

The EU have stated that any post No Deal trade negotiations will have to include The Backstop, so I assume a Customs Union, Common Market 2, EFTA/EEA, Labour Plan, Norway +, etc. arrangements would also be subject to inclusion of The Backstop.

Yeah, the good old back stop.
Its the one thing that remainers cling to.
Anyone who says they want to leave, but the back stop is the problem, is basically a remainer in my view.

So if the latest news is correct here we go again the PM is going to have another go this coming week IF the speaker of the house allows it..and here's me thinking I was bonkers:rolleyespink:.

I thought a no deal meant cutting all the ties with the EU and going it alone? It seems we're stuffed either with or without a deal?

Bamboozled again by buffoons in Parliament. What exactly do those politicians want? Nothing, but nothing, is going to satisfy them. All of them vying for top jobs or motivated by self interest
I am a Brexiteer but let’s sanction Theresa May’s deal and do so now. Jobs are at risk, the country is at risk and our worldwide integrity is at risk if Parliament continues this way
