You should put in a 'non-delivery' chargeback to your bank/credit card etc. You'll get a response that way.

Today I bought an iberis. I will go into more detail when I have a bit more time.

I looked at primula oak leaved yellow picotee. I am struggling to find any info on it. If its any good , I have a good idea where I might be able to use it. Any experience would be appreciated?

        Mmmmhhh... :dbgrtmb:

@andrews , may I ask where you got them from and if they were expensive? What are the yellow staghorny ones?

        Very nice haul!

I got them from a local nursery in South Yorks. Its a no frills nursery. He doesn't do mail order or anything internet. I'm franticly trying to find out where he buys from.

We asked him to get us three trays of semps when he picked up his order for the nursery. He charged us £20 a tray and £1.25 each for the sedums and saxifrage. We needed a good selection to start to make an impact with the border.

The yellow sedum is rupostre Angelina

This variety is called Snowsurfer. There were other varieties available in 9cm pots. I could have bought 3 smaller pots for the price I paid for this one. I bought this one because it seemed to be the variety with the widest ultimate spread. Being the size it is now, I can plant it out sooner rather than later which is a bonus.

The plan is to replace the superfluous tangerine geum with the combination of the Iberis and Crocosmia George Davison. I also have Crocosmia Emily Mckenzie as an option. Today I saw an established George Davison with shoots several inches high. Would they normally come out that early? I was expecting to be able to plant the corms under the Iberis and then watch them grow through in late summer after the iberis had finished. Would it not work out like that? As the iberis should (in theory at least) take up less room than the geum I have the space to pull it forward a bit leaving a space behind for the crocosmia if necessary. If I did it that way, thinking about it, the crocosmia would butt up nicely against the edge of the gravel path. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I commit myself to anything permanent.

I also bought a very small sarcococca from Morrison's. It looks a good specimen and showing healthy new growth.

@redstar - I'm intrigued by your climbing snapdragons! Are they really antirrhinums or something else?

i've just ordered a new Hoselock hose reel, with 25 mtrs of hose from eBay (free postage).

              s-l500.jpg

I can put it on the back corner of the house wall. It's long enough to use on either the front garden or the back. I've had a hose for about thirty years, but over time I've cut bits off it for different things. So I had to keep moving it from front garden to back garden.
I have a tap on the side of the "rabbit shed," this will now just be for the watering can.

Got all my seed from John Scheepers Kitchen Garden Seeds. the pack says. Climbing Snapdragons, the royal wedding mixture. annual. so maybe the site will give you some extra. will be first time using this in pots. have to wait until after last frost to put out in pots as I really don't fuss much with inside seed starting.

No Gary....don’t plant those crocosmia corms under the Iberis. They will overwhelm it. Keep separate, plant behind perhaps :)

Pieris Japonica Valley Valentine. I saw this in the Range yesterday. My wife was passing by that way today so I got her to pick one up. I already had the ericaceous compost and the pot.
