Whilst that piece in itself was not massively revealing did anyone read the link that she included to the piece by Peter Oborne? For those of us who can't remember back as far as the run-up to the referendum Oborne was a fervent campaigner for leaving Europe. The piece is well worth reading. Here is a quote of one small section of it.................

    "
    Economic disaster
If we are honest, we Brexiteers have to admit that the economic arguments for Brexit have been destroyed by a series of shattering blows.

The leading Brexiteers argued during the 2016 campaign that the British economy had been held back by membership of the EU and would survive and flourish on its own. That argument is now unsustainable.

Investment-led growth has collapsed, and we need to stare that undeniable fact squarely in the face. Just look at the events of the early months of this year. They fill me – as they should fill every lover of this country – with anxiety and despair.

Nissan is abandoning its plans to build one of its flagship vehicles at its UK site in Sunderland. In January, the electronics giant Sony announced it was moving its headquarters from London to Amsterdam. Panasonic did the same in August last year.

The Japanese financial firms Nomura, Sumitomo Mitsui and Daiwa have all made clear their intention to move to other European cities. Honda is shutting its plant in Swindon. The news from Airbus (a particularly striking example of a successful pan-European manufacturing operation) is depressing.

The trickle of companies announcing plans to leave Britain has turned into a flood. It is becoming unbearably painful to read the financial news. For political reasons many are careful to blame factors other than Brexit. Do we believe them? Or is too much of a coincidence?"

...and we’re obliged to take part in Euro elections, if we don’t we get booted on June 1. Why could they have not just put us out of our misery? It has definitively shown the eu are terrified of us leaving without a deal though so one option is to say to the eu to reopen negotiations on the deal or we leave with no deal. This will never happen though!

I think parliament are in knots and either will be beaten down to May’s deal or a new referendum but I sincerely hope it has some qualifiers in there and not just a binary choice. This would be parliaments and governments opportunity to say ‘well we couldn’t decide, can you?’.

More investment will leave he uk over this decision to extend and we’re suffering needlessly

I've heard on several occasions lately that the EU say "they're ready" for a 'No Deal' so I don't what the problem is,let's just do it.
And another thing:old: I don't remember voting Labour so why the PM is in talks with Corbyn the agitator is a mystery ,she's on a hiding to nothing on that front...but that's 'democracy' ...so they say !!!

I guess she's trying to prove she's at least attempting to get something done? I find her trying at any rate!

I think she is talking to Corbyn because she has to appear to the EU to be doing something over here to get the idiots on board.
Corbyn won't move on wanting a complete customs union.
Which would negate the so called back stop but would not be most people's idea of having left the EU.

:D she didn't manage anything without him either! Complete inability to lead and make a decision. The whole lot should jut admit they buggered it all up and throw it back to the public with some 'bumpf' behind each choice

I'm no great fan of Teresa Mayhem, but bearing in mind "parliament must have the final say" what else can she do?
The EU have made their stance pretty clear.

And old Tusk has told the idiots not to waste the next 6 months.
So what are they doing, all gone on bloody Easter holiday, a week before Easter, when they come back they'll probably ponce around for 6 weeks before going on summer holiday and arrive back sometime in October.

And this lot, "must have the final say".
                  It's a joke.

I agree to a point but those numpties in parliament are getting well paid for this fiasco and it's about time they stood up to the mark.
As far as I'm concerned if they bring it back to the people all well and good but that aint democracy...I think it would be a massive mistake to play around with the majority who voted in the first place...Where will all this fertilizer end!

Bring it back to the people by all means.
But no option to remain should be on the list, that was decided 3 yrs ago.

It was decided on the basis of misinformation, lies and deceit...that much is known. Don't you think that, in view of this, a second referendum is justified? After all, if it really is still 'the will of the people', that will be the obvious, overwhelming, confirmed result. Why are Brexit supporters so vehemently opposed to a second referendum? It can only be because they know, deep down, that the smoke and mirrors campaign delivered a dream that will never become a practicable reality.

We’re well past the point where they should have stepped up, and probably beyond them stepping down too! The choices I had in mind were there first ones debated by parliament but not to have a ‘stay’ option. I’d like to see some media coverage of each of the options to explain to the masses exactly what they mean and the implications and I’d like that information to be presented by trusted broadcasters that hate politicians not answering direct questions!
