Goodness @shiney I'm surprised A. siculum does so well for you. I never found it spread at all. But A. christophii gets everywhere!
@Sheal please tell me what is 3rd plant - the orange one?
This thread is no good for me - thanks to everyone (eg @Verdun's osteos and @Upsydaisy's alliums) I am building a big list of 'must haves'.:spinning:

I had a lovely ceanothus then suddeny died. As with some of my climbing roses, I think it's due to my neighbours washing.

Hi @CarolineL - the plant is Glumicalyx 'Flanagannii'. A bit of a rarity I picked up last year not knowing it was at the time. It grows fairly quickly and the flower heads are approximately two to three inches in length. Mine is just starting to flower now. The foliage has a really pungent odour and if touched takes a few soapy washes to clear it from hands. There's very little about it on the internet so a plant of trial and error at the moment. It did stand up to the winter frosts here, so is hardy.

I started some cuttings last autumn but they were slow to grow over the winter months. I will take some more in a month or so to root and grow on - if you would like a couple give me a nudge in August please. :)

We find it a bit of a thug! Beautiful but rampant. Our problem is that the garden is so big that they get away from us. We only need to miss one seed head and the next season it can appear a few hundred feet away!

Sedum spathilufolium 'Cape Blanco' is a bit of a cheat as I only bought it today! However I really like the way that the flowers line up on this so it's worth showing...........
