Be good to see you there @Verdun - maybe worth an overnight in a nearby hotel or something?

We hope to be there but not sure if I'll be able, depends on the outcome of my hospital visit.

If you've never been, please try to, great day out, meet fellow GCers, supplied with a beverage and sarnies, lots of plants to purchase and your making a contribution to worthy causes.

              Think I sold it Shiney?

We've decided that today will be the last day for potting up or potting on. We're struggling to find places to put them. Another twenty trays of this size have been done in the last week

We have decided not to pot up Crocosmia but sell them in plastic bags. It will save time and they're tough as old boots.

The local nursery very kindly give us labels if they actually produce the plants we grow. :dbgrtmb:

@Beckie76 some bad news and some good news. Asparagus at the top of the driveway seems to have gone walkabout  but 'son of' is still down by the car port. :yahoo:

                      Still organising things!

We're working hard towards Open Day. Trying to arrange setting up times for all the entertainers' equipment is becoming a logistical nightmare. So I've had to put my foot down :old:

The sensible one is coming in the day before to set up, sound test and practice. That's the day when the gazebos, tables, chairs etc. arrive and get set up and the plant stall, and other stalls, get laid out. Moving a couple of thousand plants to the sales tables/area takes time and organisation. :phew:

The others want to set up on the morning of the event but no one wants to come too early. The first four sets are now sorted out as they shall be sharing equipment so it just means one, and Sarah is coming in at 9.30 and setting here sound gear up for all of them. She can do that in 30 minutes as she has being singing here for some years. I told the Ukulele band they can either set up the day before (don't want to do that :noidea:) or set up between 10 and 10.30 (when the first performance starts). They say it takes an hour to set up and I said they can't have an hour. They have decided to use their lighter equipment instead and shall set up in the afternoon just before their set. If they run late they will only be cutting into their own set. Solved :dbgrtmb:

Today is sowing and planting and, hopefully, starting on the (non-gardening) tidying up. That tidying will take a couple of days. Then it's usual garden maintenance (all offers of help welcome) until next weekend.

I have to also do the shopping for serving teas, cakes, cream teas, Pimms etc. to 300 - 400 people. All kitchen help now finally organised.

Yes, indeed a logistical nightmare. Fair play to you, I couldn’t do it. A real credit to you that you’re prepared to put yourself through it. See you next Saturday

We're looking forward to it. Now, if I forget names/faces, please remember that my old grey matter took a bit of a beating last year, so don't be shy at introducing or reintroducing yourself! @Beckie76 - are you bringing your bush this year?

I thought I’d post a photo of a plant I picked up when we were there, it was just a pup then.
