Always look forward to your intelligent and accurate contributions. In total seven Australian PMs have been dual nationals. On a technicality most may have got away with it up until 1949'ish as up until then Australians were British subjects (but not British). One Australian PM was born in South America to a German father and emmigrated to Oz in his twenties!
The rule about dual nationality and parliamentary eligibility was introduced to Australian law sometime in the 1890's.

Section 44 Australian Constitution says otherwise.

Your historical references from leaders in the past is irrelevant to today.

A fair point, up to a point. It actually says " Is under any acknowledgement of allegiance, obedience, or adherence to a foreign power, or is a subject or a citizen or entitled to the rights or privileges of a subject or citizen of a foreign power" As you can see, merely being entitled to citizenship of another country is enough to render you ineligible. I believe that it is this wording that is currently under review as a result of last years crisis.

I assume that if your job was under threat (or gone) as a result of Brexit you would be less of a tit about this!
I am personally affected by it as my better half is now based in Frankfurt as a result. Her employer pays for our travel costs three out of four weekends for the first eighteen months but two days a week together and travelling on red-eye flights is a drag.

It is a “friendly” forum. That doesn’t give the right to insult vast swathes of the population, that have a “different opinion”. If anything, you should be apologising, instead of playing the victim.

Who would have thought a picture of some sheep and a reference to them being off to vote for the Liberals would have had such a traumatic effect on poor little freddy and his "swathes" of insulted fellow snowflakes?
