No its not too late. What a horrible person she must be to write something like that on social media for all to see. Just wondering do her kids ever make a noise in their garden on a nice quiet early Sunday morning? My neighbours have the only kids in the Close and she shuts them out and lets them scream and cry from sunrise to sunset...…...Its driving me nuts!

Facebook can be, often is, a cruel gossipy even nasty medium.
Has its uses but needs to be used sensibly :noidea:

The kids round here would have drowned out the noise of your mower at 7pm.

Our golf course has been in existence for 120 years. (I've not been a member that long!)
We sold some land to one side of one of our fairways to Manchester University, decades ago. They used it to build a couple of blocks of student accommodation, but there was a long open space area of about fifty yards wide between our perimeter fence and the nearest block. The university sold it for housing development two years ago.
The developer packed them in, as they do.
Including a row of them which were priced at over £500,000 that have a great view of our course. Because their small gardens back onto our perimeter fence, the row of houses themselves are no more than forty feet from the fence.
To reduce any risk, we've made an area twenty-five feet back from the fence "out of bounds" for its entire length, to encourge members to hit balls straight.

I'm told that the owners all whinge to each other on Facebook about the occasional mis-hit balls coming over our fence and landing in their gardens.

Well.. If you will buy a house next to a golf course......

Not quite the same, but owners of a new block of luxury homes which had full length glass windows, got together on Facebook and then went to court over the Tate Modern's exterior balcony, complaining that visitors on it could see into their bedrooms.

          The judge made his decision.

          "Pull your curtains!"

Sounds a bit like another forum we both know.

I once sent a message to Prof. Brian Cox via the BBC as I didn't know his address. Next thing, I got some very nasty messages on facebook. Sad day when people consider it OK to insult and abuse others.

I was sorting my motorbike out for leaving for work this morning and the husband of the lady in question came over (they live directly over the road not alongside), and apologised in person which was nice. He had a good moan about stuff being put on social media which echo a lot of what people have said on here.

That is a shame she had to put it on facebook. is this the "first" time you have mowed that late? Around here, it quiets down after 6PM. and we all have about 3 acres of property. I have in the past had some big GSD's of which I would brush them out on the deck sending clumps of fur out to the lawn. My thinking was the birds might want some of that fur for nests. Or the wind could take it elsewhere.

Good job they don't go camping where you only have a thin layer of fabric separating you from close neighbour's noise. These are typical hours:

I'm a good neighbour as I only play my jukeboxes in our tea-house at the bottom of the garden on number three, (rarely after 7.00pm and never both at the same time).
