Hedges! Why do my hedges have so many sides?

Anyways, all clipped and miraculously they look rather straight. The neighbour suggested I might want to invest in an electric clipper, but then agreed that perhaps I'm not the kind of a person who can be trusted with such a tool. :noidea:

Baby sparrow chicks have mastered the art of using the bird feeder, but still keep trying if the obelisk will work the same way and perch on it with a hopeful look. :heehee:

Cleared the pile of massive brambles I cut down last week, smugly donning my thornproof gloves. Discovered that my T-shirt is not thornproof (should have read the small print), and decided against wearing a bikini any time soon. The scratches make quite a display with the bruises earned with my latest hobby, hula-hooping. Apparently Hula hooping is great for lower back muscles I have some troubles with, and will sculpt a tiny waist in just a matter of weeks. "And it's fun!" (No it's not, it's humiliating, hard work, and painful. And you get bruises on the midriff.)

A good day in the garden, am sore, scratched, and happy. :)

I'm hoping to get a couple of my new zinc planters, planted up and a few perennials planted into the borders. Maybe some clearing of one of the areas I want to turn into a shade garden for next year.. All this is weather depending and atm, it looks like it's about to chuck it down!

Will continue to pull out / cut back all annoying plants that are either very battered due to the weather, are almost over now or have grown far too big.

Will also continue planting out the Hellebores, some went into the Dahlia garden yesterday but still have about 25 to plant out.

Also must sort out my bulbs , as kindly reminded by @Perki :dbgrtmb:

It is actually pouring down , so will have to get kitted into my waterproofs .

Plant out Ipomoea, Quamoclit and other half hardy annuals. Repot a number of seed grown perennials.

                              Looks encouraging...

                              Ready made or DIY?

My DIY one is thirty-two years older than these photos now.

Still as good as new, as I've painted it every few years.
