Hi,

I was determined to get the last of the hedge stumps/roots out this morning so was on the job by 8:30; 8:45 Blackie noticed me so gave me another soaking then with me and everything nicely wet Blackie quit; by 9:30 I was soaking again but from the inside due to sweat; I should be used to these soakings by now but I still don't like them. The hedge is now down; trunks gone to a woodburner; brash shredded and I've just returned from the tip having taken a full load of stumps. At the tip there is an adjacent quarry; all the big quarry wagons have been depositing dirty mud on the tip approach road; another job now to wash the Yeti. Just a bit of finishing off then time to choose groundcover plants; another hedge I no longer have the pleasure of trimming.

Only a week after trimming and Blackie doing his thing in watering this hedge it needed trimming again.


It doesn't need trimming again; it's been incredibly hard graft but the lot has now gone even the roots; good riddance.

The garden had become badly overgrown so I've removed lots of conifers and bushes even digging up the roots; it's more manageable now.

Blimey @shiney...sounds like good growing weather.
It's been a mish mash of weather here today...one minute roasting the next really rather nippy...my greenhouse door will come off it's hinges if I keep opening and shutting it much more..

I'm finding it's warmer through the night than it is during the day...but maybe that's an age thing...
