Good morning everyone, another lovely morning and I trust you and yours are all in fine fettle. Have a good day, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well.
    God bless. :wub2:

@Upsydaisy I empathize with you and @shiney my joints play me up something rotten,
particularly my legs, knees and hands too!

        Aloha everyone,

My thumbs are almost back to normal but I'm having a bit of trouble picking my mug up by the handle - no problem as I usually pick it up holding the body of it. :)

I had no problem using the shears, fork, spade, trowel or secateurs yesterday but gripping a ten pound note was virtually impossible - so I couldn't spend any money and the moths weren't disturbed. :heehee:

As it's now 8.30 I can go out and mow without disturbing the neighbours. I've got to get the garden looking good for visitors today. Some people coming to look at the garden and buy plants this morning and then friends for the rest of the day. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

          Morning everyone :)

Thanks @moyra , I was going to say 'it's not fun getting older' but remembered that I was first diagnosed with arthritis at 23. I think the thing is to keep moving at much as you possibly can.....there are a couple of sayings that are so very true 'if you ease you cease' and 'if you don't move it you'll lose it':dbgrtmb:
My brother ,who was so active in his younger years , swam for the city team, taught judo, loved skiing and rode motorbikes has been completely disabled by severe arthritis for the last 40 years, he had to pack up work in the end when he was in his 30s.
My sister is having her knees replaced in 3wks time. I am holding off having my hips done for as long as possible, other joints you learn to compromise with. The only thing I couldn't cope with was my feet/ ankles, so both are now fused, which was well worth it as I love my walking!!:)
We all have our 'off days' and hopefully we can work around them.

Oops!! Better shut the windows as hubs has decided to wash them!!

          Have a great day everyone!:)

              Good morning folks :)
Dry so far but rain is imminent. We don’t really get thunderstorms too much down here so any that do occur should be elsewhere locally :noidea:
So hot yesterday so rain today....should be done and dusted by mid afternoon...would be acceptable esp with increasing hot week to come.
Whatever the weather where you are have a good day everyone :)

                  Aloha everyone,

I was pleased it was overcast all day yesterday as it would have been much too warm otherwise. We had our village fete with funfair, presentation arena with dog shows, children's entertainers etc. Lots of stalls and side shows, a car show with about 400 cars - and a pop band stage and dancing at the edge of the village green that went on into the night.

There were thousands of people and I think the numbers were higher because there was no burning sunshine. The pubs and eateries face the village green and were mobbed with punters. The Indian restaurant had set out tables in their car park in the front and was serving hot food from buffet type containers. Chicken Tikka in wraps (very modern) seemed extremely popular as people could walk round the fete whilst eating.

There was some vehicle confusion with parking difficulties, although they had car parking allowed on one part of the green, and traffic problems with a lot of roads closed to traffic. We have six roads that come into the village near/at the village green as it was an important place in the middle ages.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

Good morning all, glad your thumbs are working better @shiney. I must go and do Amber's breakfast. She has had her chicken drumstick but she then has a couple of pouches of meat with a few scattered treats on top. Then for her walk. Have a good day everyone stay warm and dry and above all stay safe and well. God bless.:wub2:

Morning all....sounds like a very yummy doggy breakfast for Amber @moyra. :doggieshmooze:

Lovely day yesterday for you @shiney :)

When you're working @Flumpy it always seems to rain at the weekend.:dunno:

Similarly when I do the laundry it either rains or.....:wallbanging::wallbanging:...someone over in the allotments had the biggest bonfire ever!!

So hate them ( the bonfire that is!)

Into the 3rd day of this migraine now ,:fingers crossed: the predicted thunder will clear the air and
hopefully it will ease up a tad.

                      Have a great day :spinning:

Same here but it does look as though it will rain again very soon. I'll wander round the garden and have a chat with the plants.
