Another scorcher here. It’s 36c at 6pm, and very little breeze. At least the nights have been cooler the last couple of nights, with temps down to 14c, rather than the 21c we had last weekend!
The grass cutting can wait until Monday! They say it will be cooler tomorrow, but of course we can’t use power tools on a Sunday... we’ll just have to sit and enjoy the garden instead!!

I got 34.2 C today, a twelve hour heatwave as it was not that warm this morning early.
Tomorrow, they say 25 C so back to normal and even cooler next week.

Cant use power tools on a Sunday?
That's a strange one, is that an EU ruling

If I had my way they'd be banned here too on a Sunday!

What a change from the last two days. A cloudy, humid and breezy start with a brief thunderstorm early afternoon. 23C/73F before the storm and 18C/64F after.

So err, what happens if you work all the week, some people I know work saturdays up till noon, dont leave you much of a window to get out and cut the grass.
Especially if its a wet saturday.;)

Now ban kids from making a noise on a sunday and BQs and you would be getting somewhere.

The Belgian's manage it Pete. :)I try not to use noisy tools on a Sunday having lived in an area in the past where they were a blasted menace. Petrol strimmers and hedge trimmers are my worst nightmare at any time. :frown:

Very hot and very sunny 30c, now it's cloudy, 0glad that it's going to be cloudy tomorrow. I don't like the sun very much these days, it seems to be brighter to me.

                      Hi,

Can't use power tools on Sunday's? Is church bell ringing also banned on a Sunday?

Just a thought because I use whatever tool power or otherwise I want to use when I want to use as long as it's done between 9am and 6pm. I never make noise just for the sake of making noise and many of our neighbours head to our home when they need a job doing.

                      Kind regards, Colin.

Sunday used to be classed as a day of rest. Now you can do your week's shopping on Sundays.
I used to get really bored and ratty on Sundays, if I wasn't working. Nothing to do and nowhere to go.
As a council tenant I am bound by various rules and regulations. I have to say. I am fully in favour of most that afford some respect for others. Thanks to the internet, you can easily check what are the do's & don'ts locally. Here there are rules relating to weekdays and come Sunday they change.

For me. My downstairs neighbour is just as likely to start drilling holes in the wall, or nailing the mat down and quite often getting the cleaner out at 23.00hrs. The saying is. Rules are mad to be broken. Sorry. I find that to be a very selfish attitude.

They're very good around here on sundays they only do things in the afternoon. The only thing is when they get the bbq out the smell is terrible. Yesterday next door had one and it was right by our side of the fence.
Have a safe and good day all.
