Hello everyone. I have a large half whiskey barrel I want to plant some pansies in, but I wanted to also plant some herbs with them. Is this ok to do? I've never grown flowers amongst my herbs. Any herbs that do particularly well with pansies?

    Hi,

Many herbs, particularly the woodier types, prefer hot, drier soils which are not what pansies like, plus many herbs grow quiet tall so you would need the pansies in the front.

Think herbs like Chives, Parsley and Basil would go well with them as they also like the more moist conditions, even slightly shadier conditions, that suit the Pansies.

Thanks ricky101. I didn't think about the soil. Back to the drawing board.
