    Thanks for your kind words.

I keep these two old plastic chairs with cushions in the tea-house.

    P1020955.JPG

We've four loungers, two as yet unused.

These are in the small room I created in the back of the garage.

It used to house the filters for the koi pool before we had it filled in a couple of months ago, plus a 300 gall quarantine tank.
Now after a "tart up," I use it to house the two back-up freezers that used to be in the shed and other. "stuff," like a spare set of golf clubs and these four new garden chairs.

It's a handy room as I still have a basin with a hot and cold water supply, so I can have a clean up before I come in after working in the garden. I've also tea and coffee making facilities and my Budweiser fridge.

Delighted that my black currant harvest is pretty good after all. My puppy destroyed one bush !! So I was prepared for a poor harvest. Anyway picked plenty this evening. Some delicious blueberries too.
      Still sunny. Still warm:)

Too hot during day to do much gardening. A little watering in the evening and keeping birds supplied with fresh water throughout day is most I've

There are three baby wild rabbits in the back garden! Appeared yesterday, around four weeks old. They are sooo gorgeous :wub2::wub2::wub2:, pinging about all over the place , full of the joys of living. They are very tame, two of them were running about on the patio and in between my feet, too intent on playing to be bothered about me. I do feel quite sad though, in a way, as the mortality rate in rabbits is 80%, so I wonder if they will live to see adulthood . Maybe they would like to join my two wildies.

I have been given two, large plastic compost bins in good condition :yay:. One has a hatch at the bottom and one does not. So, how does the one without a hatch work  :dunno: ??. How will I extract the compost ?

Nature can be so cruel. We used to see rabbits on our golf course, but there are/were four families of foxes in different wooded areas to one side of different fairways. We only see one occasionally, but plenty of fox footprints in some of the bunkers.

Canada geese are a problem for us as we get a flock of up to a hundred of them sometimes grazing on the fairways. They make such a mess with their droppings. They aren't a bit frightened of people, you have to shoo them out of the way sometimes, they are so thick. But the sight of a member walking his dog even fifty yards away and they take off en mass. I've no idea where any nest, but we have a big pond usually frequented by moorhens and their young, ducks and herons. I took this photo eight years ago when I happened to have my camera with me when I was playing with some friends. These two geese had been hanging around the pond in the background for a few weeks.

          Picture 011.jpg

But they are really stupid, an hour later when we were on the back nine I took this photo, the pond was as far away as the woods in the distance but to the left. I've no idea where the stupid thing was taking them.

          Picture 005.jpg

Although I didn't see them again, I heard various reports of their sightings, with progressively fewer numbers of chicks. I guess the foxes got them. As within a week they weren't heard of again.

            Primula vialli.
This Guys, is my most favourite plant without exception. I can't seem to propagate from seeds or division it only seems to last a season or two for me. I have tried everything. But today I stumbled upon a vid by Monty Don on propagating candelabra Primulas from Green Seed. So today I severed a spent flower head and got to work splitting open the tiny green pods. Hopefully, I'm doing this correctly. I sowed them on top of the potting compost and did not cover them. Apparently, the green seed germinates faster than dried but requires light as a catalyst (hence non-burial).
I placed them in a small propagator with the lid on. providing some humidity as instructed.
Hoping against Hope that this may be the solution I've been looking for to have sways of P. vialli around the pond.
            Unless anyone has other ideas!

              Thanks for the kind words.

I give the jukeboxes a "run out" when I'm working in the garden as use is the best form of preventative maintenance. But I just "turn them over" a few times every week during the winter.

I've also got these in our front room, to experience a bit of nostalgia.

And this, plus my tenor sax, "for annoying the wife."

Sticking to the 'wild meadow' theme. This is mine.

One day I will get around to tidying it up but in the meantime, out of sight is out of mind.

                    Hmm..

Sure this wasn't a piece of Tracey Emin artwork nicked from the Tate Modern?

This is the bottom of the nepeta I just repotted. Are they something I should worry about. The ants like them whatever they are.

The rootball is full of them and I have potted it on. Is there anything I can add to the pot to kill them off? Would a pesticide cause a problem for the cats that nibble on the leaves?

                              Afternoon all..

I've been keeping on top of the deadheading, erecting a second greenhouse and this morning I was clearing the patios of the creeping oxalis (think that's what its called anyway). Turn your back on it for 5 mins and it explodes all over the place.
