I dug up my Crinum Powelii last autumn and potted up the bulbs - it was quite hard to get them out of ground whole and unfortunately some were damaged. I potted all of them up in large pots and they are doing really well. No flowers yet but I'm geographically a long way from you @Verdun.
The original bulb was sent to me by one of GC members many years ago.

My kniphofia mango is out now. The clematis on the obelisk is climbing nicely.

I would like to use this campanula elsewhere as ground cover. Can I split it up now and spread it out ? Would it continue to grow? I would need quite a lot for what I have in mind. The eventual rehoming would be part of a winter garden revamp.

What variety is it Gary? :)
Anyway, yes you can dig it up and divide it whenever you like, however, I would wait until flowering diminishes. Then cut foliage and remaining flowers off, divide with a spade...better with decent depth of soil......., and replant. Add some compost, a little fertiliser and water well.
Depending on variety, I would expect more flowers come September :)

Whilst I have some very nice plants I have yet to master planting schemes that look good. Have earmarked a few plants to move as they don’t look right where they are.

But hey! My Crocosmia Lucifer which I moved last year survived :)
