I,m back. it,s been awhile

Hi every body. Remember me? It,s been awhile since I have posted. Not sure what happened. Life moves on and and directions change. Glad to see the forum is still up and running. A lot of things have happened since my last post. Sad things and glad things. Saddest is I have lost two of my younger brother and sister. They were twins and taken from us far to early.

Great news is we are now grandparents. It,s been awhile coming but we are so pleased.

Okay, the garden. My little patch. The front lawn had to go after a severe attack of chaffer bug. It is now gravel and far easier to maintain.

Now to the back. I had the misfortune to fall in the pond. Not a serious affair but it could have been. Within days of that event the fish were gone, the pond was emptied, liner removed. Filled with top soil and is now planted with alpines.

I am now into growing dendrobium orchids and a think having some success with them.

I hope you welcome me back and I really should try to post more.

Talking about the weather. I remember last summer we had a tremendous hail storm which just about shredded every leaf on my runner beans. I was gutted. They did finely recover and give us some beans. So far this year the beans are okay but a little short on the harvest at this time year.

 

And a big back from me! Still lots of us oldies here.

My heartfelt sympathies on the sad loss of your brother and sister but congratulations on becoming grandparents.

Lots has happened here too and I will catch up with you soon. xx

Many thanks for your welcome back guys and gals. I really appreciate it. This afternoons horticulture job is to remove and keiki from one of my Dendrobium orchids and pot it up. This will be a first for me.

 

It is nice meeting you @capney ! I'm fairly new so did not know you from before and I am glad you are able to join back in. The more the merrier
