Been persistently pouring today the garden needed it but not at the expense of my Veronicastrums which where prostrate when I came home..Grrrr...they do have a plant support but needed a bigger one which I have but can't get to it where they are stored behind the summer house as a Black Bird has got a nest full of chicks and I don't want to disturb them..so I've done a quick Heath Robinson fix..poor things look like a plump lady trussed up in a corset but needs must.

Colin I'm sure that you'll do your best to stop them from burrowing and i know that you both are very gentle with all wildlife and all living creatures.

It's raining again but we didn't have any thunderstorms. At 1.30pm looked at the weather they missed us completely.

Shame lolimac :) Love veronicastrums so hope you can salvage yours:)

Pleased we have had such a wet day......plenty of water for the garden...but signs now it is easing. Very warm, even humid, and it’s going to be 16 degrees plus tonight.
A return to hot weather though soon enough:)

The Garden Weather Station is now recording 19.2mm of rain so far so I'll not need to water the garden.:dunno::coffee:

                Hi,

Thanks Logan; I'm thinking of erecting a "Sold" sign where the badgers keep digging to give them a hint the site's no longer available; they sure are persistent though.

Half an hour ago the rain was coming down like pencils thanks to my chum Blackie and accompanied by background acoustics; the thunder has rolled over at the moment and I've just been to feed the cats again before Blackies next onslaught; it's been a typical summers day for us; MISERABLE AND WET. :fishing:

                Kind regards, Colin.

We've had lots of heavy showers, road flooded gutters over flowing drains not taking water away (first time the drains haven't flow like this)
Bring your bucket to my place and you can have some

Had rain nearly all day and heavy this afternoon and it's still going, the 3 water butts should be full now.

We were promised rain for most of the day but it was sunny and humid until early evening. A heavy shower for fifteen minutes or so and now the dark clouds are still lurking. 20C/68F

Supposed to have rain now which should move away by mid morning, but it's not. Sunny intervals later too with a high of 22C.
