:heehee:, Too true @wiseowl !!! All our childhood summer holidays were spent on the Cornish/ Devonshire border on a farm and I can remember a fair few soggy days!! The farmer was always worrying and trying to do the harvesting. My little brother was mad about all the huge machinery used and occasionally got to sit in them! Those were very happy days, always went to the same place every year....because I now realise, my Dad got fishing rights to a stretch of very good river!!;) But the freedom we kids had was amazing too. We learnt so much, crop harvesting, sheep shearing and dipping...sadly beef going off the the local abattoir too. I can honestly say it would have / did surpassed a holiday resort abroad.

Oops sorry folk I've deviated....blame @wiseowl for evoking happy childhood memories!!:heehee:

Sun is coming out again now here,
Only been to Cornwall twice, once for a week when it rained every day and there was a gale blowing, and again just over the border from Devon, when it was dry for a couple of hours but got hit by downpour in the afternoon.

My fault, I should have gone in the summer, silly me, both occasions were in June.

Ha ha, scoff away; at least it’s warm rain folks:)

For the record we have had the second driest area in the UK over the past 7 months.
Upsy....there’s the clue....the Cornish/Devon border. See, the rain from Devon was the culprit:rasp:

On the coast here we are pretty fortunate .....much of the rain deposits just a tad further inland; I had a word with the guy above to arrange that:rasp:
