I was out in the truck yesterday. The air con isn't working and no amount of blown air / windows open could stop the effects of hot sweaty skin on leather

My sports car has white leather seats but I don't leave the top down until I'm ready to go for a drive so the seats don't get too hot. In really humid weather I have laid a small towel the seat to keep bare skin on my legs from contacting the leather.

It is a very pleasant 68f here right now however it's only 7:30 my time! Going to shut the roman shades later to keep the sun out and that should keep the house down in the low 80's :)

The skies are compleely cloudy and the temperature is 79f, which is 10f lower than yesterday where it rose just over 89f. We had no rain or thunder storms during the night and it has rained dyy so far, so not a bad day with the only drawback being it's quite humid!!:coffee:

It is very hot (86f) here too with bonus humidity so I have just turned on the central air conditioning. I've got my granddaughter coming by for lunch so I am going to make her some oven chips too but I use an air fryer (the brand name here is Actifry) - like the oven you don't add oil but it only takes 12 minutes to tumble and crisp them up and heats the kitchen minimally. Would not do to have the oven fighting with the air conditioner. We had a heavy rain last night so I only had to check on the capillary watering receptacles in the greenhouses this morning and top up any that needed another slurp :)

I have very curly hair and keep it tied up on days like this. I call them "hairmidity" days :heehee:

                          Hi,

This warm dry weather is rare for us; I wonder if we can cope if I turn the central heating off. :rasp:

                          Kind regards, Colin.

23c now and cloudy. Feels chilly and I've put my linen jacket back on.

Prob a tad cooler than many parts of the south east etc. but another gorgeous warm day. The sea temperature is about 17 or 18 degrees too so ideal :)

Looks like a warm, sunny, dry weekend too.

We had a high of 31-32c today, so 10c cooler than yesterday. But with the extra humidity, tbh it doesn’t feel much cooler to those of us who are hiding inside all day.
It’s now about 30c, but there’s a bit of a breeze, so I’m now risking opening windows (closed curtains and windows kept the temp to 29c). We are forecast a morning temperature of 18c tomorrow morning, and a high of 21c on Sunday - bring it on!!
