    Oky doky Nick :)
    Thanks

ARMANDII is right though....we need to be aware of the dangers in our gardens.
Education is the key....I remember my young niece saying she shouldn’t eat the blackcurrants in my garden because the black currants growing wild on the Towans are toxic. The berries look the same, the names are similar!!??

@ARMANDII Thanks for the explanation and so sorry to hear about Sally mate, I lost my cat Rosie a couple of years ago, I'd had her for 14 years and it was heartbreaking! She was such a clever, perceptive cat!

@Victoria Very nice, I love the 'basket' style!

I agree with everyone. I was all set to make Hawthorne berry jam this fall until I noticed my berries don't look anything like the ones on the picture accompanying the recipe. Then I found out, with much appreciated help from here, that my tree is not Hawthorne. Can you imagine me handing out jars of cramps and serious indigestion to friends if I hadn't asked for help here and found out it is a Buckthorn!

@CanadianLori Yeah, I've heard of those Buckthorn berries. Some crazy, reckless Canadian lady on a gardening forum I contribute to actually ate one without being sure about what it was! Don't ever do that again please Lori, we could have lost you! :nonofinger:

Jobs? Does sitting on the pond bench drinking a coffee, enjoying the cool breeze - is that a job? If so, tick, job done!

I’ve also carried all our houseplants out to enjoy a bath and hygiene-clean, courtesy of the rain and our wrens, tits and warblers!

Hmm, I'm jealous, Sian, as there will be no sitting by my pond today as it's raining:dunno:

Got out of bed this morning and noticed it weren't raining yet  straight out the door to mow the back lawn and edge, overseed as well seen as the weather cooled down and wetter. Took a few pictures as well and cursed my Veronicas for all falling over I am having a serious fall out with veronica at the moment they might be a cull one day :paladin:

                            Raining now

Not exactly the Chelsea chop Perki, but I find regular dividing of Veronicas helps produce sturdy growth as well as better flowering. Otherwise it will produce lush soft growth I think
                              :)

Occupied elsewhere today but sprinkler is out now on back lawn:)

Planted my sweet violets at midday (slugs incoming in 3, 2, 1...) Dashed out again after showers to take G. phaeum out and replace with Salvia 'Blue Marvel', should do better in that small space (12 x 12 in). Planted Salvia 'African Sky'. Aarrgghh why does it always bloody rain when I've got loads to do in the garden? :frown:
