I watered today prepping the ground to absorb any rain we do get

Not much different to yesterday. Drizzle early on followed by a totally grey day and mist. 19C/66F

 

No rain here for weeks, it's needed desperately. If I cut the grass i'll be covered in dust.

When I see posts like yours strongylodon regarding no rain for weeks I always think I'm in another universe because of our rainfall; I've even got my own personal black cloud called Blackie; I received a soaking last night just walking along the street to feed neighbours cats; typical though putting on my heavy "site" coat just to pop out in the middle of summer.

This morning I hit the ground running; up at 6 o'clock; breakfast whilst watching TIG welding videos on YouTube; set off to the supermarkets but call in at the neighbours to feed and water their cats again; back home with the shopping all before 8 o'clock; of course Blackie's graced us with his presence during the night so as usual everything is soaking wet outside; I've been retired for 19 years and still wonder what retirement will be like. I'll blink and it will be bedtime again.

Very pleasant and the sun's out and about. No breeze and a comfy warmth. A beautiful morning for removing tomato leaves...
all gonna ripen at once I reckon...

 

We had cloud and a little light drizzle yesterday, with a high of 20c.

Today it was 13c when I got up at 6.30am. It’s now 18c, with a forecast high of 25c.

Last week, they were forecasting rain all week apart from today, so I thought I’d be running around like an idiot, getting all the grass-cutting done today. But now they are saying dry all week apart from Friday, when there’s a 40% chance of rain. Much cooler though, with daily highs of 23-24c, which means I can catch up on my 2 weeks of hiding indoors from the heat!

I feel sick; so many of you with wonderful weather and I'm stuck here with Blackie and the black hole.

Hang on I think it's trying to brighten up; I'd better dash out and take a picture then I don't forget what its like?

I spoke too soon; no let up yet for me; thundery showers forecast for tomorrow.

Colin, rain today...if it actually occurs....will be very welcome. Dry, sunny and hot for so long now.
Mind you, a day or two of rain but then sunshine again please!

 

I've always been happy with "rain at night " but my wish is rarely granted....
