    Fear of the invasion of the digitalis prevented me to date. Are they fully hardy ?

    Fully hardy and very well behaved.
    Another unusual Digitalis that may fit in is Digitalis laevigata.............

    It grows to about 1.2 metres and also fully hardy and well behaved.
