        Been very pleasant and the sky cleared completely for the last 2 hours before sunset. Calm and delightful now,

            Another sunny dawn and no breeze yet. Lots of condensation everywhere though. Reminds me of hop picking mornings....

                        It started off cloudy but sunny this morning and warm. More cloud has arrived but the Sun still pops it's head out every now and then. Right now the temperature is 75f, the winds are coming from the SouthEast as it has been doing for the last week, and the pressure reading is 999hpa.

                        Have you noticed how the BBC, and the like, don't show air pressures give a actual figure anymore:scratch:? That's because it was just the air pressure at sea level which they applied nationally
                        despite the fact that air pressure differs at different heights and conditions, so to anyone, like me, living above Sea level the figure was useless Now on the TV they have resorted to showing different pressures as Highs and Lows which gives people a more general idea of what is coming.:coffee:

                          I'm not going down the air pressure debate again.
                          Just to say that in meteorological terms the air pressure at sea level is the only one that matters, so you should set your barometer at sea level pressure.
                          It's a barometer not an altimeter :biggrin:.

                          Bit cloudy here but warm 24c.

                            Hi,

                            I've been too busy to worry about the weather but have just had a quick look;

                            upload_2019-8-3_14-43-15.png

                            Why do I bother looking; Blackie is never far away unless he has a breather letting sleet and snow have a go at me; does anyone want to adopt a big black cloud because I'm truly sick of it forever hanging over me.

                            Kind regards, Colin.

                                It feels a bit oppressive today, really odd think there's a storm due, strangely most of the food we put out for the birds about 7am this morning is still here 3pm, normally gone in 10 minutes.
