Well, got 4 mm of rain early, hardly made any difference to my water butts.

Since then a cloudy start, but dried up nicely, a bit beezy with good sunny periods.
    25C.
Just hoping the forecast winds are not too bad tomorrow.

It's November here today! The rain stopped around 6pm but its been grey, damp and misty. The temperature struggled to 13C/55F. My winter duvet is back on the bed and there's a good possibility the heating will be triggered.

Well it's really blowing a hooley outside now . We are surrounded by trees and being in full leaf they are really making themselves heard tonight !! Moved all our potted plants undercover and have double staked the taller ones in the borders. All will be revealed in the morning....dread opening my eyes.

It's so very noisy that getting any sleep is going to be a challenge!

Yesterday the promised load of rain didn't occur. One very short shower earlier on and in the late afternoon the sky looked really grim and the wind picked up. So I went out to pick some plums, which turned into a dangerous job! Halfway through picking the wind got so strong that the branches were giving me a good whipping and I was being bombarded with plums. Then the poplar trees started dropping branches on me so I retreated in defeat.

Ten minutes later the wind had dropped a bit and we had a very sudden ten minute monsoon. That stopped and the sun came out

We had a little drizzle over night, it's fairly windy now but the sun is out. :noidea:

We had an inch or so of rain yesterday and strong winds all day. Not as bad as predicted and the water butts are pretty full now. Strong winds and heavy showers predicted for the day ahead, calmer tomorrow for a tidy up.

No way @wiseowl!!!! ...I've had to traipse around the allotments before to retrieve my unmentionalbles! :yikes:

Not much rain to be had here, a few heavy, short showers. The wind is the main star of events, haven't had a closer look yet at how many apples, pears, plums, grapes and tomatoes are still actually attached to their appropriate parent!!!

                    Hi,

I wonder how much it will cost to replace our car speedometer with sonar?

                    Kind regards, Colin.

The wind here is horrendous today. I tried to prepare for it by moving pots to the edges and making sure all things tall were well staked and tied in my tomatoes too. Just a shame I couldn't have superglued the few apples I have on my young trees on! Gotta say I seem to be having a bit of a run of shall we say 'challenges' in the garden and am slowly giving up the will to live :noidea:
I don't know if Im imagining it but as the years go by we seem to be having more weather with strong winds than we used to.

We had another 5mm of rain overnight.
Sunny spells and gales at the moment.

It is 57f with clear skies above. We've been promised that the temperature will rise to about 77f. Absolutely perfect!
And the guessers have predicted some rain tomorrow and again on Wednesday. Some rain every three days is even better :)
