@Upsydaisy Mrs Shiney says I drive her mad!

I have been driving for almost 60 years, have an Advanced Motorist certificate and a PSV licence (it's still valid under that title although they have changed the name).

I actually have a note on my medical records that my normal sleep period (about two hours) is not insomnia and that it is natural for me and doesn't affect my physical or mental ability. I have no trouble working 24 hours if necessary and, at one time, worked three days with just the occasional rest and meal break when I was in the Merchant Navy and passed fit to do so by the ship's doctor.

The only time I feel tired is when I'm not well. :noidea: :)

      Ah OK.:dbgrtmb:
I need about 3 to 3.5 hours sleep any less and I know I'm not at my best, can cope OK with the odd 24hr sleep free periods though.

Sleeping seems such a waste of time to me, I have so much that I want to do. I would love to be way up north ..24 hrs of daylight ... and gardening..bliss!!!
Mind you would absolutely hate the inevitable 24 hrs of darkness !!!:yikes: Life's never easy!!:heehee:

You are amazing Shiney.....the amount of work you do, the minimal sleep, etc. :)
After that can you lend me a few quid Shiney?

I need 6 hours at least I think of sleep.

Upsy.....24 hours of daylight!!:gaah: Would drive me mad. Mind you, I share your view about wasting time.......esp if the sun is out:SUNsmile:

          Morning!
Just done two machine loads of laundry and ...it's now drizzling!!! :fingers crossed: it should move away in an hour's time and leave us with a sunny day.
Then off to my Dad's for the day....wish me luck!:roflol:

          Have a brilliant day yourselves.:dbgrtmb:

            Aloha everyone,

No problem! :dbgrtmb: My rates of interest aren't too high  I need to be able not to sleep as I spend a lot of time counting my money.

Sunny here and an extremely busy day. I also have to sort out something for Barry. He went to the dentist a month ago and they charged him for his check-up. He's on full benefits (badly disabled since birth) and registered with the new dentist last year. He showed them his certificate when he had a check up last year and so just had to sign their form. This time he didn't bother to take his certificate as he had already registered it but they said he has to bring it in each time  so had to pay for the treatment (£27.20 ) and they gave him a form for claiming the money back from the Benefits people.

So I filled in the four page form. It was returned to Barry together with another 18 page form for him to complete so I had to go into town to get it from him. I read it through, spent twenty minutes on the phone with a very helpful girl (is that a sexist term?) and we came to the conclusion that the form didn't need completing - but I have to do an accompanying note and get Barry to sign it.

So, back into town for that but I shall combine that with a haircut, shopping and a meeting with the Charities Commission inspector (another long story :phew:) and back in time for guests for lunch. I don't go into town before 8.30 as the rush hour traffic is too horrendous before then.

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Off soon but hope to be home later to work in the garden....the lawns, for example, are now lush (thanks to recent rain) and need mowing. Supposed to be a dry even sunny day :)

Lovely and sunny today and the garden and the water butts have benefited from the rain yesterday. :spinning:

                            Aloha everyone,

                            A lovely sunny morning.

I had to work outside in the rain yesterday but didn't get a chance to mow the wild area. We whacked down the knee high plants and grasses, after the seeds had set and dropped on the flowers, and then filled a ton bag with the debris. We don't put it on the compost because of all the wild grass seeds. I hope to mow the 3,000sq ft area today if it dries out enough. The mower can cope with the wet grass but I can't lift the box off the mower if the cuttings are wet.

I'll also be prepping food for tomorrow's guests.

Keep well and have a great day

Good morning all, hope you didn’t miss me too much..... only kidding :heehee:

This week has been a bit hectic, my hubby had a bad water infection and on his way back from the doctors a taxi did a U turn straight into the side of my husband car :yikes: thankfully we have a witness and it’s all on camera!, car is in the garage now so it’s just the waiting game now .

It’s my brothers 50th Birthday tomorrow so we are going for drinks and then a meal with family tomorrow.
