So far all I got done is watering. I spent a good part of the day up on a platform hoping the wind would lessen so I could zip line the falls, Niagara Falls. No such luck and will try another day.

I've still got 3 solar panels to attach to the upper rail near the greenhouses but now I am having a debate with myself about their placement. I only want to climb up there once and not have to go back up to change things about. Debate to continue until tomorrow morning..

I shall go out now and hunt weeds and give the squirrel a hard time :)

Been out in the back garden doing a bit of a tidy up on the shady border. Picking out weeds, trimming back the climbing rose a bit, pruning the wisteria etc.

I’ve also been digging up and dividing opiphogon nigrascens (sp?) ready to grow on and take to the new house (if we ever sell!)

Trimmed back some lavenders that had finished flowering in the back and done a bit of dead heading.

I'm starting to move some of my plants into a second indoor growing area in my cellar. It is a full cellar with 8 foot ceilings so lots of vertical space. Got the height of the led lights adjusted and the timers and fans set up plus the capillary mats and water receptacle ready. I have some rosemary plants and chillies (Shineybrids) that I want to keep going over the winter, or least give them a place to hibernate without getting frozen. It's still warm here but the days seem to be shortening at an alarming rate and I'll be able to control the day length down there!

I've also finished arguing with myself over the solar panel placements and will try to get those installed today. Then I need to run up to the store to grab some more potting soil before it all gets snapped up. They've now marked down the 50 liter bags by 50% and I want to get a couple for me and several for my son. His birthday is coming up and I know he would consider that a dandy present :)

Back mid afternoon and got lawns mown as I had hoped earlier and tall plants deadheaded in prep for tonight’s wind and rain. Tomorrow looks a washout

Got email to say my plant order will be delivered tomorrow:)

Sorted stuff at my brother’s residential home...spoke to manager and case worker. At times my brother is as coherent as ever he was but now n then a tad jibberish :noidea: Difficult :noidea:

I took the Pruners, Scissors, and string, which always seem to be in my back pocket, down to the Arbour to tie back the Honeysuckle that climbs on both sides of it along with the climbing roses "Alchemist" "Compassion" and "Creme de la Creme". Strange how one job leads to another and I found myself training the thick stems of Rose "Alchemist" across the front part of the roof just below the hole for the nest box. The Choisya next to the Arbour also needed cutting back as it was starting to encroach too close so I pruned that back. On the other side of the Arbour is a Osmanthus which had also put on a little "weight" and was growing over the path, so out came the pruners again. Ambling back towards the central path I deadheaded the Rose "Crazy for You", and tied back a big Sedum, raising it's many thick stems off the narrow path. It's a job that I should have done weeks ago as I was continually stepping on them but I never seemed to get around to it until now, luckily the was no real damage to the Sedum. The Trellis entrance to the garden was next as it was between me, the House, and a Mug of Tea, so I tied back a profusion of various Clematis and Ever Lasting Sweet Peas. There is a small bed containing Echinaceas, Onopordum, alongside the Trellis Entrance with a mix of other plants that needed a couple of canes stuck in the soil and then, of course, tying back. Back on the Patio, I moved the 9 Lupins in medium sized pots from where they were in front of the two tiered wooden bench of Iris and put them against the West fence to give them some shelter from the forecast high winds over the weekend. All that need doing after that was some dead heading of the Monarda and Echinacea in the large pots.............then there was that Mug of Tea.:coffee::heehee:

I’ve done my usual Thursday jobs then came home and fitted one of those Arlo cameras up to watch over the van at night. I’m getting paranoid with all the recent trouble.
