I promise you Lori you've missed nothing...I remember a thread on here at least 5/6 years ago about Marmite..Many said it was food of the gods..I bought a jar to try and I can tell you it's the food of the DEVIL...the jar is still in the back of the cupboard with just a tiny tasting out of it..I really ought to chuck it away..

Not bad on toast, but I think it can be applied too thickly and that's when it burns your gut out.
          Tried marmite crisps, bloody awful.

Haven't had it for years now but I preferred Bovril as it was less salty, I used to make Bovril and Peanut butter sandwiches :dbgrtmb: I couldn't do it with Marmite!:biggrin:

Do any of you still buy Twiglets? They're almost the same as Marmite. They're wheat sticks covered in the Twiglet equivalent of Marmite. It's their 90th birthday this year. In noe Mr Bean episode he ran out of Twiglets for his New Year's Eve party so made his own with real twigs and Marmite.

                  I can't stand them!!! :heehee:

I got them in Iceland here a couple of years ago. Also they sell Marmite, I like it spread thinly on toast ... it is also nice with cream cheese. We like Bovril as a hot drink, in fact had one with a cheese sandwich for lunch earlier in the week.

Six months ago I renewed my contract with BT and they said I had to use the new Smart Hub and sent it free of charge. Frustratingly it had started causing trouble last week. In a period of three days it rebooted itself four times. It was flashing orange for between five minutes and ten minutes each time. A blue light says it's connected and a flashing orange says it is searching for a signal.

I phoned their automated Status Line which tells you which areas are having problems but mine wasn't in it. So I phoned their helpline, yesterday, expecting to have the usual fight on my hands. Surprisingly I got through to their helpline in the UK :rolleyespink: and explained the situation. He asked me a load of questions, checked my line, asked me to unplug the router and wait a while before plugging it back in - no improvement.

He said his guess is that it's either the router or the power cable and he would send me new ones. They arrived today and I shall connect them when I have time. Well done BT for quick and easy service.

That's their answer to everything - send a new router. If I regale you with the efforts of TalkTalk to sort a problem I would have an embolism.

Well, it seems an easy solution - if it's the right one - and it didn't cost anything. :noidea:
