Had a half hour of sunny intervals but now clouded over again

 

Cloudy with a bit of sun and very windy at times.
Just walked berry, put my jacket on because it rained earlier. But i didn't really need it.

 

Lovely once again, the rain only lasted 10 minutes or so. Blue skies and sunshine.

 

Sun and showers playing "cat and mouse " games today, and quite a strong gusty wind at times.

 

Same here too.

Thanks Verdun & Upsy; yes it's actually bright sunshine at the moment with a decent weather forecast for all week;



A clear run all week without Blackie; this I've got to see because I don't trust the weather forecasts for us; we live too near The Pennines making it very unpredictable; the car was wet as usual when I set off to the supermarket at 7 o'clock this morning so Blackie must have sneaked under the radar during the night. Yesterday afternoon it became very dark and I expected a storm but it blew over.

Good suggestion Upsy about leaving the workshop for a rainy day and normally I do this but I'm keen to try the new TIG welder out Bron generously bought me; I've been gathering kit over the last couple of weeks so now it's ready for a bit of practice; I've just coupled everything up and knocked off for a mug of tea; when I do get into the workshop I always forget something; I've had to come back up to the bungalow to collect the Parweld manual.

It feels cool in the strong breeze; I'd like to polish the car but it's still wet. Yesterday afternoon I cut the grass whilst being buffeted by Gale.

The mug of tea and bickie has fully charged me so time I got off my backside.

How can a sou'westerly in August feel so chilly? I thought it would be from the Azores?
I'm in a thick cotton long sleeved jumper and I can see heavy cloud out there.
