Cloudy again with some sunshine and a gentle breeze. The breeze is now coming from the SouthEast as opposing to the last week or two from the SouthWest but at least it's still dry. Right now the temperature is 65f and the pressure reading is 992hpa.:coffee::)

        Hi,

Very decent of you Verdun; many thanks and much appreciated. :dbgrtmb::)

If Bron and I could turn the valley round then we could be opposite to where we are now and shielded from the weather extremes (Lee side); we catch the lot living here; when I was working I used to have difficulties when it snowed; one day I arrived late afternoon at work and tried to explain I couldn't get the car out until our neighbour cleared the street of snow with his JCB; elsewhere in Huddersfield people got to work OK. We'd move but we love our bungalow and its panoramic view across the valley.

        I'll just keep moaning.

        Kind regards, Colin.

@Logan , similar story here. Today is supposed to be fine, but I’ve just brought the washing in sharpish. We are on the fringes of a storm passing west of Brussels... and the thunder rain has started as I type!

As is expected of me now ....:noidea:....I called in to cut niece’s grass as I passed by. Tiny area, takes 10 minutes. They even have a cordless mower given to them by yours truly so they could do it themselves! Don’t really mind as I check on the plants I put in there too:) looks like a nice spot there too for an Edgeworthia ......does well in my garden and the foliage is good too:)

Lovely day ......a short shower earlier but nothing to dampen spirits.....so prob cut lawns here later.

                    Hi,

Thanks Upsy for encouraging me to get another soaking from Blackie. I agree with you regarding our weather here looking good as backed up with a copy of our forecast which I posted in #2803.

I also stated on the same post "A clear run all week without Blackie; this I've got to see because I don't trust the weather forecasts for us; we live too near The Pennines making it very unpredictable"

Because it was fine and me being stupid I asked Bron if she would like to go anywhere this afternoon; yes a trip over to M&S in Pudsey will be nice; no sooner than we put our coats on Blackie was here and gave us a really good send off;by the time we reached the car and sailed in I had to dry my hands before touching the steering wheel; Blackie must love or hate me; we've just returned home to brilliant sunshine. As I predicted Blackie's cease fire not only didn't last the full week it didn't last a full day. I'm sick of Blackie. GRRRRRRRR.

If I wait for a rainy day before going into the workshop then I can spend most days in there.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

                      Hi,

I couldn't make it up about Blackie; Bron and I are visiting friends in Hull on Wednesday so Blackie is accompanying us as usual; is there no let up at all from this pest.

Started out good enough but by 1pm the heavens opened, and then it dried up, and then it rained again, got a total of 10mm, which is more than we had since last monday.

Looked up last Agust and that was pretty wet also, seems to be getting into some kind of a trend of dry springs and early summers, (when things should be growing), then wet late summer, when things should be ripening.:frown:
The sensor said 21C but I cant say it felt like it most of the time.

That's climate change, more unpredictable weather and more of one thing.

Think Pete may be right.....August does seem to be the wettest month. September is usually a good one here though but that’s getting into autumn:noidea:
