    Today I just about survived taking my mum to Sainsbury’s shopping. “So what?” You say.

    She has dementia, has walking problems, is unable to concentrate on a shopping list, and is dragged in by EVERY end-aisle promotion. Navigating a busy shop with a wheelchair and wheelchair trolley is not for the faint-hearted. I think there should have been a tannoy announcement
    :huh: “do not try to cut between the wheelchair and the shelves unless you feel lucky, very lucky, today!”:huh:

    I don’t think I hit anyone....:dunno::whistle:

                Driving back from allotment this afternoon. North Wales coast road was very busy - people getting away for the Bank Holiday.

                Anyway, spot of road rage ensued from the driver behind - as I was being the gentlemen and letting other drivers filter onto the busy coast road.

                Driver behind me started to get frustrated - her view was that I was letting in far too many drivers - in a rage, she got out of her car and approached me in a threatening manner.

                Today's driving top tips:

                - be courteous to other drivers - let them in if you can - it just good manners;
                - it's best not to escalate an altercation with another driver - and certainly not leave your vehicle to confront the other driver. If you are intent on leaving your vehicle, make sure that the other driver is not twice your size...
                :biggrin::doh:.

                I'm normally a considerate driver and in the main ignore other drivers mistakes - we're all human. I make an exception for someone who is being rude and then confronts me :nonofinger:.

                    We had a company to do a quote on replacement windows going to have triple glazed units, it will help our house from getting so cold in winter and in summer it will stop it getting too hot. The heat will still come through but it will take longer.

                      I generally go one for one on the merging. During the summer we have lots of road construction and lane reductions so I usually , at each reduction, let one person in and the fe,low ahead and behid most often does the same. Kinda like a zipper. It is annoying if someone gets excessively generous with letting everyone in. My lane has to move too and usually the lane being reduced moves faster because the polite drivers merge as soon as possible. It's generally the jerks that run up to the end to bypass traffic or those who aren't familiar with the area... but mostly jerks.

                      I would never harass someone over boo boos or being a jerk. Today I almost got hit by a lady who thought she was at an all way stop and it wasn't. I had no stop sign and therefore right of way. I just smiled and pointed out the lack of a stop sign on my sde and laughed and told her, in this town we're so used to stop and go even with no one around, we make these mistakes. Smile, wave and go about my business. :)

                        I did a little shopping this morning and to my surprise managed to find a parking slot in the shopping centre which is a very rare thing!!:hate-shocked: I tend to buy non food goods in bulk so that I don't have to keep going shopping for one or two items and wasting time when I could be doing other things. The shopping done, I drove out of town to an Aquatic Centre to buy some more fish for the wildlife pond. It's a great centre as it sells not just fish but snakes, lizards, insects etc and I got in conversation with a Lady who has a 8' long Boa Constrictor.....I didn't ask what she fed it:dunno::heehee: Anyway, I bought 4 good sized basic stock Gold Fish and 4 good sized Shubunkins to join the other fish in the pond. There were some lovely Koi Carp but I never put them in the pond as they can get quite large, quite quickly, and effect the other wildlife such as Frogs and surface insects which are part of the balance of the pond.
                        On the way back home I dropped into a Antique/Reclaimation Centre and had a little look around but nothing caught my eye so I headed for home and slipped the 8 fish into the pond. They were obviously not upset by the journey because I dropped some fish flakes into the pond and they started immediately to feed so that's a good sign.

                          Like @ARMANDII I had shopping to get done. The store had flour on offer so I oicked up 30 kilos. I also bought more mulch because I moved so many plants, there is little mulch around their nre locations and it also was on offer -3 56l bags for $10 cdn.

                          Went to son's place again to make sure his cats have food and fresh water. I love the little creatures but am terribly allergic so I took an antihistamine and petted them for a minute but as a back up, I took along a friend to br the designated petter. They like cats and coud givve the little moggies some much needed attention.

                          Picked up the liquid libations needed for visitors on this long weekend and the makings for potato salad. Tomorrow the sun oven will be usdd to hard cook the eggs. Also went to see my wine guy and picked up wine for ME :)

                          Got 3 loads (sheets, mattres pad, comforter etc..) of linens washed, line dried and back onto the bed. I will enjoy the fresh smell against my cheek tonight.

                          And now I'm just sitting on my backside watching vintage Perry Mason and sipping a spritzer.

                          I've got loads to do before Wednesday so I primise not to bore everyone with those chores.

                          I am looking forward to ripping up the watering systems in the greenhouses to facilitate moving ti valves ro a handier location. Inside instead of out!

                              How did you get out of the shopping , share your secret please @Logan! It's definitely the worse job in the world!! Trouble is I like to see what I buy so don't do online, my Dad and sister have experienced being sent food very close to their bb dates.

                              Off to attack the Ground Elder at my Dad's today... and nab the newly emptied garden bin before anyone else gets to it :heehee:

                              Have a great day
