      Hi,

      Just popped on to say I'm taking it easy this morning digging up a few laurel stumps; I'm having great fun because the laurels are all criss crossing each other and the soil is more like a quarry.

      Lovely sunny morning so no complaints from me.

                Hmmm, the weather seems to have stalled here in West Cheshire as early this morning the temperature was 66f and the skies were totally covered in light grey smooth cloud...................and it's still exactly the same now:hate-shocked::wallbanging:......well, there is one difference as the pressure reading has dropped slightly from 1000hpa to 999hpa:dunno::coffee::)

                  25C here at the moment and boy I'm hot; I've just quit stumps digging for today in case I melt; my clothes are clinging to me whilst I enjoy a mug of tea.

                  More stumps now out with a few more to go.

                  These laurels stumps are well over 30 years old and all intertwined and it's like digging in a quarry.

                  A few more yet to dig out; I'm using 2 ton trolley jack; 9 ton bottle jack and very heavy 5' long crow bar but they aren't giving up easily. Retirement; what retirement?
