I love England but I am so glad I'm not resident for this nightmare. Being snubbed by China and the Donald seems far more pleasant.

No wonder everyone loves to garden. Plants aren't politicians!

That's a hell of a lot of money. Could that be the reason the EU don't want us to leave? A bit like, killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

Would that be British or foreign nurses?

Sadly this is a very important area in the lives of us Brits. Our leaders, being of all parties have time and time again. Insulted and abused our most valuable members of our community. IMHO our emergency services should be the highest paid in the country.
2014 I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. From taking a pee and. Bloody hell. I'm peeing blood. I don't like this. Now I was really frightened. Having been a traffic cop, I'd seen plenty of the claret (blood) but this was mine. I honestly was in a state. It kept me awake all night. So to the GP surgery. Me to the receptionist. Good morning. My name is etc. I wish to see Dr. Plana.
Oh! Dr. P is fully booked. I acn give you an appointment for three weeks on the...........
Sorry love. This is urgent. I'm peeing blood. Next. Dr Plana will see you now. Now my mind was recalling basic first aid. Blood loss....takes priority. Less time than it takes to tell. I'd had scans and cystoscopy. Bladder cancer confirmed. Talk about fast tracking. Rapid chats with various meds and the time had come. 08.30. I was in the prep room. Next. Hi Michael, come on, wakey wakey, its all done. I found the whole staff so great. One black nurse actually asked my daughter Amanda to please let her know, how I got on.

Well, the promise of keeping the “bloody foreigners out” makes me wonder where all these nurses are coming from?

I don't think " keeping bloody foreigners out" has anything to do with us wanting to leave the EU.
                    They will still come.

Well, with a lot of UK Nurses being tempted to higher wages and better careers in jobs abroad, I think that qualified Nurses imigrating to the UK for jobs in the NHS are most welcome.
I can remember talking to a NHS Doctor earlier this year who was thinking seriously of emigrating to Australia and had made enquiries with the Australian Embassy. They immediatley responded by taking him out to Dinner, and offered him a lot more money and a guaranteed career. When he informed the NHS of what was happening he got no response........guess where he is now?

I disagree, I think it had a huge influence on the vote. I heard it all the time, in the build up to the vote. Remember this?

I agree with you, pete, the first priority is to leave the EU, trade agreement or not, and take back, in reality and practice, our independence, freedom from the flood of EU Legislation that chains us and weakens our ability to trade with whom we want to, take control of our security and borders, (which does not mean an all out ban on immigration, but more selective filtering so that those who's professions are needed are brought in). So BREXIT is, for me, all about leaving the EU completely and trading globally with no trading restrictions and not getting sucked into an all controlling Federation.

Will they be welcome though? With the proposed threshold of £30,000?
