Grevillea rosmarinifolia flowering a little bit

Lantana having a second flush, though strangely the bees and butterflies aren't interested in it.

They much prefer all my straw flowers - they are about 6 foot tall.
And the colchicums are showing me that despite earlier discussions here, it really is autumnal.

I keep this pear tree because I love the structure and shape but Ive no idea what variety it is. The Pears are sour and quite dry so don't get eaten . Any ideas anybody so I can use them please? Probably should be in plant ID but I think it looks good in September (today) considering the disasters Ive had lately.

 

I don't know what it is Cindy, but it's looking so good I think you should not be allowed your new id!

 

Maybe you need to leave them longer, or perhaps store them a while.

Is it a Yellow Grevillea @CarolineL? Lovely shots especially with the Painted Lady, well captured.

 

Oooh I hadn't considered grevillea @Victoria - I was thinking myrtle family. Thank you - I will now look a bit wider for a match. With regard to Painted Lady, I noticed many butterflies on helichrysum but only bees on agastache. Then realised it may simply be ease of perching for them. Worth remembering for next year to ensure nectar for all sorts of pollinators.
